Comfortably sleeping up to five guests and boasting a plethora of walking and cycling trails from its doorstep, this delightful cottage provides a homely base for both families and friends alike looking to explore the charms of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

Park up on the roadside and marvel at the traditional stone-built exterior of this lovely dwelling before stepping over the threshold and entering into your new home-away-from-home.

Kick off your shoes as you enter the spacious sitting room, thoughtfully laid-out with two snug seating areas, one gathered in front of the Smart TV, enticing you to snuggle up and let the television do the entertaining, and the other idyllically positioned in front of the warming electric fire; the perfect spot to escape into the pages of a captivating book.

Descend the quirky spiral staircase to the lower-ground-floor and feel the underfloor heating gently warm your toes as you make use of the facilities provided to rustle up a hearty meal, gathering together at the grand dining table to indulge in the fruits of your labour as you recount the day's adventures.

Carry the conversation outdoors and soak in the last of the evening sun with a sociable seat in the peaceful setting of your private patio, toasting a glass of fizz to an unforgettable holiday as the evening grows dark.

As the day draws to a close, head back indoors and climb the stairs to the first floor where you'll find three well-presented bedrooms, two doubles and a single room, suitable for adults and children alike, each beautifully-presented with a neutral décor, providing a calming and homely setting to rest your head.

In the morning, kick-start your day with a refreshing rinse in the shower enclosure, or pour in the bubbles and opt for a leisurely soak in the tub.

Unwind following an action-packed day exploring your surroundings and take the short stroll into the heart of Penmachno to find the village pub, The Eagles Hotel, where you can enjoy a well-deserved pint of real ale as you get better acquainted with the locals.

For a wider selection of amenities, venture further afield to the nearby village of Betws-y-Coed where you'll find a fantastic range of shops and eateries, including traditional country pubs and quaint cafes, promising to serve something to suit all tastes and budgets.

Known locally as the Gateway to Eryri (Snowdonia), there's a plethora of outdoor adventurers waiting in Betws-y-Coed; catch the Sherpa bus service to Pen Y Pass and embark on the challenging hike to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), or tour the varying terrains of the National Park by bike via The Brailsford Way, made famous by the Olympic cyclists Dave Brailsford.

Thrill-seekers will be delighted with a visit to Blaenau Ffestiniog, famed as one of the adventure capitals of North Wales, here you can take on the longest zip wire in Europe at Zip World Titan, discover a subterranean system of trampolines and zip wires deep underground at Bounce Below and the Zip World Slate Caverns, or for a more leisurely experience, board the famous Ffestiniog Steam Railway and journey through the picturesque countryside.

The small, peaceful village of Penmachno is situated in the beautiful Machno Valley, just 4 miles from the popular town of Betws-y-Coed. Surrounded by woodland, magnificent mountains and flowing rivers, the whole area is a haven for walkers, birdwatchers, mountain bikers and climbers, whilst Betws-y-Coed itself offers a good range of shops, pubs and cafes. Here the River Conwy meets its three tributaries, creating a host of cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges throughout the surrounding countryside, the most famous of which is the magnificent waterfall at Swallow Falls, situated where the River Llugwy meets with a spectacular chasm, creating a sight not to be missed! The beautiful Conwy Falls are also well worth a visit and are situated in the Machno Valley. With all of Snowdonia to explore and North Wales' Heritage Coastlines also within easy reach, this beautiful location has plenty to offer at any time of year.
