“Had a lovely stay.”

We don't own dogs, so a slight dog smell was apparent to us but was mild considering it is a dog friendly house. The sofa was very comfortable although the bed in the big room was too soft for me so I slept on the sofa bed which gave me a better sleep than at home. The blade of a knife in the kitchen broke on me on the first day whilst cutting a pizza and the toilet flush broke just before we left, due to the plastic inside the tank connecting the flush handle to the chain breaking. Also the brush on the vacuum cleaner was full of dog hair making it hard to manuver. Other than the couple of inconveniences mentioned, our stay was very comfortable and delightful and I would reccomend you to others as we all enjoyed the feel of the property. The bath and shower was amazing which was very handy for washing children whilst also being luxurious for the adults. The wide open dining area which is viewable from the kitchen was convenient for the children. A large dining table to enjoy meals as a family. It was all very convenient. Great location. Wonderful beach with an absolutely breathtaking view! Not far from llandudno, Conwy, Bangor ect. We had a great stay. Thankyou so much!

Village centre and shops are within walking distance - hills are steep but that's the truth in any mountain village. And Pen is a great spot to return to after days out around Conwy, Snowdonia and Anglesey. We couldn't fault the cottage which was comfortable and well equipped. The property is a former quarry worker's cottage so you are very close to neighbours and the back courtyard is tiny. But neighbours were pleasant and pretty quiet and with the mountains and sea literally outside the door, you don't really need much of a garden. The only little niggles I can think of would be the need for a bedside light in the smaller bedroom and some hooks for damp coats and gear. Thank you for our stay; we thoroughly enjoyed it.

“A really lovely cottage.”

Much larger rooms than expected from the outside. Well equiped and very comfortable. Really friendly pub, great little supermarkets and excellent fish n chop shop all just a few minutes walk. Beach quite outstanding about ten mins from cottage. Hill quite steep for us seniors but we managed without a car as we came by train and bus. Very good bus service, no5 betwen Bangor and Llandudno few minutes from cottage. Keys and all communications perfect. A lovely place to stay.

“The cottage was fabulous.”

Warm, cosy, modern, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The area was nice and quiet. The location is good for sightseeing and the beach with its promenade is a 10min walk away. To be aware of: the house is on the steep hill above the beach and therefore is a good hike to get up to when walking. Also because it is in the old part of the town, parking is very limited and you may not get outside the house. There was availability in adjacent streets. Overall, a very pleasant stay and the dogs loved Penmaenmawr beach and promenade.

“Lovely cottage.”

In brilliant location. Near to shops. 20 minutes walk to Gladstone pub .dog friendly. Nice food. Lovely cottage inside good cooker and fridge freezer. Everything u need apart from tin opener and iron. Got tin opener now as I bought one and left it there. Walked on beach every morning. And recommended devil's appendix. And tearada Bay. Both brilliant places to visit.

“The cottage was absolutely lovely.”

Very comfortable, spotlessly clean and loads of room a small courtyard with table and chairs. It's a terraced cottage in a quiet area. It's VERY hilly, no problem for us. Not much in the village, Local pub was lovely and very friendly went to Conwy which is lovely. A great cycle path from penmaenmawr to Conwy. We were so lucky with the weather, beautiful places around. Great holiday. Thank you

“Great little cottage to stay.”

Instructions to find keys very helpful as was information on heating and bins etc. Parking in street could be an issue depending on the of day which made arrival and departure a little more work but nothing that can be done on terraced streets. Lots of considered minor touches, just a few minor additional basics would be good (hand soap in bathroom, washing up liquid, blanket/throw to cosy up on sofa, iron/ironing board). Will happily look to stay again if it's available when back in the area.

“Normally, you expect the property photos to over promise on a property.”

The real thing is never as good. But in the case of Erasmus Street, we were pleasantly surprised that the property was brighter and much larger than the pictures suggested. It was a lovely space to live in for a few days. Welcoming and comfortable, and included some essentials in the fridge. We loved our stay and it was a great base for our family break. The only criticism I can offer is that the lack of tin opener and grater presented a few issues, but with a Co-op around the corner, dinner time disaster was quickly averted.

About the location

PENMAENMAWR

Conwy 5 miles.

Nestled on the North Wales coast between Llanfairfechan and Conwy, Penmaenmawr is an old quarrying town now adapted into a delightful community stretching along this stunning coastline, yet retaining much of its Victorian architecture, with many local pubs, restaurants and shops, a superb golf course and golden, sandy beaches. Set on the side of the Tal-Y-Fan mountain, many parts of Penmaenmawr and its sister village Dwygyfylchi enjoy stunning views across Conwy Bay to Llandudno, Puffin Island, Anglesey and the Irish Sea, and if you are lucky, dolphins and seals can sometimes been see playing in the bay. A recently opened cycle path leads along the coastal path to Conwy Marina to the East, and Llanfairfechan to the west. Or, head up the Conwy valley through the Sychnant Pass on to the mountain trails that abound there. The sailing club in Penmaenmawr is well established and welcomes day guests, as does the 9 hole golf course, set amongst stunning coastal scenery on the lower slopes of the village. On the promenade you will find numerous activities such as a skate park, a children's paddling pool as well as a beach cafe which is open most of the year. There are also beach huts on the promemade that you can hire by the day. Also near to the beach is a bowling green and all weather tennis courts.
