“We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, an interesting 18th century property at the entrance of a farm estate with beautiful surroundings and views.”

It was well equipped with all we needed and very comfortable, it is well situated for exploring the Snowdonia area, has walks from the door step which were ideal for our dog. We were a bit concerned that one side of the lodge is right next to the A470 but we needn't have worried, there was some traffic noise but it didn't bother us. Thank you Elwyn for a warm welcome. The property

Plas Madoc Lodge is a romantic little stone holiday cottage, just along the road from the picturesque town of Llanrwst, and a few miles from Betws y Coed.

Perfectly situated for exploring the beautiful Conwy Valley which runs north from Betws y Coed to join the sea at Conwy. "This little much-loved lodge lets all year round - small and cosy in a good location with lots of things to explore nearby." Visitors are welcome to walk along the drive through the splendid park, and enjoy its peace and tranquillity.

A short walk up the road is an excellent farm shop selling local meat, vegetables and dairy products.

About the location

LLANRWST

Betws-y-Coed 4 miles; Conwy 10 miles.

Llanrwst is a thriving market town which stands in the beautiful Conwy Valley, only four miles from picturesque Betws-y-Coed, known as the 'Gateway to Snowdonia' and which is North Wales's most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village has shops, pubs, places to eat, miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Woodland High Rope Activity Centre, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the lovely towns of Llandudno and Conwy.
