“Lovely comfortable house, with views of the hills around 2 sides of the house.”

Well situated close to a good variety of supermarkets and the town centre a short walk away. Everything you could need in the kitchen, we didn't struggle with lack of equipment. Has dish washer and washing machine eventhough we didn't need these. Good sized fridge/freezer. Comfy beds and and lovely shower. Would definitely go back there.

“A compact property, very convennient for shops and the town centre.”

It needs some up-dating to the decor, and perhaps a piano in a small dining room is not the best use of limited space. The washing machine leaked, the double matress is beyond its useful life and the Venitian blind fell off the wall the first time we tried to use it.. We hired for 2 weeks and we were very disappointed when our bed linen and towels were not changed after our first week. Nevertheless none of these things interfered too much with our stay. A modest welcome pack would have been nice, and Can we make a special plea to remove the glass shelf above the bathroom sink. It is a hazard and we regularly banged our heads on it.

Thank you for the feedback, however the description of traditional, and the pictures pre-booking, are a honest and true reflection of the property and its decor. The dining room has accommodated up to 8 people, with piano, in the last 30 years, and apologies if this was not the case for the both of you. I am not aware that the washing machine or the blinds were reported to maintenance at the time, otherwise they would have bee rectified at the time, for your stay. If you have any queries about the linen, please contact Menai holidays who will be able to assist further. Welcome pack is made ready available in the kitchen, with extra information in the the pink A4 folder, also in the kitchen; apologies if you did not get to locate this, Property Owner

“Disappointed that we could not access the Wi-Fi when we arrived.”

The tv remote in the lounge had batteries that had leaked in it so would not work. Light in lounge flickers which left me with migraine’s. Toilet seat lose on one side fitting, needs looking at. Difficult reversing onto the drive due to the large bush overhanging the drive making it narrow. Needs up to date information on rubbish collection, main waste dustbin was full when we arrived, put both types out as last years schedule was unhelpful only recycling and food collected. Location good for food shopping and getting to visit places.

“Double bed was a nightmare we couldn't have a good rest because of it.”

We even had to leave 1 day earlier because of the bed. Everything else was beautiful and nice. Unfortunately I can not rate more than 1 star because it really was a nightmare all the nights.

“A wonderful week at Bryn Tudur.”

Very convenient position to walk to the High Street and harbour. A variety of local shops and supermarkets close by. The kitchen has a good size fridge freezer which was extremely handy. We had fantastic weather and sat outside each evening. The house is situated in a very quiet area, with side access to the main road. Our only complaint would be with a past occupant who had put a saucepan away at the back of the cupboard with the remains of a pesto / pasta dish still inside, no excuse as there is an excellent dishwasher. Also beware of some seriously out of date cooking oil and sauce sachets left in the cupboard by previous occupants. We would definitely stay again to visit this area of North Wales.

“We enjoyed staying at Bryn Tudor.”

The property suited our needs very well, it was well located for us being near to the station and the shops, we had plenty of room. The area is very quiet at night time which was a nice change for us as we live in a city. The decor is a little out of date but clean and in good condition. Only minor downsides were that the fridge was not switched on when we arrived but the agent advised us where the key to the cupboard where the switch was reasonably quickly. Also I notice in the property description on Sykes it says that the dining room is 'complemented with a bottle of fizz', which it wasn't.

“This property is good value for a stay in Porthmadog.”

It’s close to the high street and local supermarkets. Although it doesn’t have a sea view, the view of Snowdon and the local mountains is magnificent. The fact that it has off-road parking is a bonus in Porthmadog. The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and warm. We would certainly go there again.

“Very tired looking,could do with some TLC, garden overgrown with weeds ,and path very uneven,could not sit on garden furniture as rose bushes overgrown on drive ,and only one car would fit down middle of drive ,had to defrost the fridge ,as so iced up froze food inside also freezer needs defrosting, only 1 towel each to last the week , no welcome pack and only very few instructions on where to go and no emergency numbers if needed , positive comments, 2 supermarkets across the road and portmadog short walk away some very scenic views around the area .”

Many thanks for brining issues to my attention. All issues have been rectified, in regards to the gardening. It is unfortunate that you felt unable to park more than 1 car, as in the past, it has accommodated up to a maximum of 3 cars. The fridge-freezer was rectified, and apologies from behalf of house-keeping, too. In regards to towels, each guest has a bath towel and hand towel for a 7 days stay, and is as per policy. Welcome back can be found in the kitchen, with information about the house. There is also an A5 folder with information about appliances, if need be. Many thanks for the positive comments - indeed 2 supermarkets are across the road, with another within walking distance, in the town centre. Property Owner
