Instead the cottage is on a busy cross roads in the village ,next to a cemetery were people come and go at various hours and park alongside, the children for the local school brought in cars parked outside, there is a cottage being updated / rebuilt next door builders working all day. The furniture was very dated the sofas had no support in the cushions and were full of crumbs and dirt in joints, the cooker and the work tops were greasy to touch, and the biscuits left on the tea tray were dated best before March 19 needless to say we did not eat them but left for the next occupants, the TV was as small as you can buy about 17 inches. Cobwebs and dust were present .This was a break for my husband who is recovering from surgery for a tumour removal not very restful we cut our stay short and came home

Thank you for leaving your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you suffered from some disturbances; the village is usually very quiet and the owners have never noticed an impact from the local village school or the cemetery on the cottage. The owner completes regular checks on the house and is always very happy with the cleanliness so will be looking into why this was not the case on this occasion. Also, they are so very sorry that the biscuits were out of date! This will be checked every time from now on and they are so disappointed that you were unable to enjoy the gift they left for you.
