Hafotty Gelynen is a breath-taking detached former farmhouse on the outskirts of Maerdy near Corwen.

Set over two floors and sleeping up to eight guests, Hafotty Gelynen is a spacious and exciting base whilst you admire the Welsh countryside and also within easy reach of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

You are welcomed into the property by the large surrounding gardens which boasts a multi-level lawn, Welsh slate driveway with parking for four cars, a decked area and patio, with furniture and a hot tub to enjoy a relaxing evening under the stars, or a spot of alfresco dining in the country air.

Going into the property, there is a a hallway with a bench and hooks to hang any coats, as well as, a handy utility room with a washing machine, and a shower room.

There is also a stunning ground floor double bedroom at the other end of the house with exposed stonework, a large mirror, storage space and television to keep up with your favourite shows.

Moving through the property there is a kitchen/diner with a spacious table and plenty of seating below exposed beams, so you can toast to a wonderful holiday as you enjoy an evening meal rustled up in the well-equipped and contemporary kitchen area.

The traditional beams remain as you move into the sitting room with its inviting sofa space and where a wood burning stove takes centre stage in the gorgeous stone feature fireplace.

To complete the ground floor, there is a garden room, which makes for a great escape when you can't all agree on a film to watch, which also leads into a games room with a pool table, dart board, TV and an arcade machine with 2500 games.

From the games room you can also access the garden and hot tub area via patio doors.

Climbing up the stairs from the kitchen, there is a tastefully decorated king-size room with storage and an en-suite shower room to get ready in style, a further king-size bedroom, a bathroom with the most gorgeous freestanding bath and a spacious walk-in power shower, offering you a great place to freshen up after a long day.

To finish the stunning property, there is a bunk room with a bespoke wooden bunk bed, as well as, storage and hangers to make yourself feel at home.

Hafotty Gelynen lies in the far countryside on the outskirts of Maerdy, where you will find The Goat Inn, serving both food and drink, or drive a little further to Corwen, where you will find a picturesque market town centered around an Owain Glyndwr Statue, with pubs, tearooms, takeaways, a church and shops for any essentials and gifts you may want to pick up during your stay.

Also in Corwen, you can board the Llangollen Heritage Steam Railway which runs to Llangollen, and offers wonderful views of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

For more scenic trips, you can also visit the two National Trust properties, the 18th century Chirk Castle and Erddig Manor House, or explore the ruins of the Cistercian Valle Crucis Abbey and Castell Dinas Brân in Llangollen.
