  • “Used Sykes many times and always easy to book.”

Post booking service is slick and simple, with directions, key pick up etc always easy to follow. Cottages are of a good standard, with the latest one we booked simply superb, with a real “get away from it all9 feel to it.

The property

This beautiful stone holiday cottage near Harlech is set in the hills above the River Dwyryd with the most stunning views down the estuary to the enchanting Italianate village of Portmeirion.

The cottage is full of character with vaulted beamed ceilings, wattle and daub walls, quarry tile flooring and an impressive stone fireplace.

The cottage has been modernised sympathetically with clean colours and cosy furnishings, it’s the perfect mix of old and new. "Wow!

As soon as you arrive and look out at those views, you will feel your stresses melt away!" Stepping right out of the door you can join footpaths that take you into the hills with panoramic views of the mountains, including Snowdon.

Or why not head down to the Wales Coastal Path where you could walk to the historic village of Harlech to visit the Castle and have a spot of lunch and enjoy the miles of sandy beach.

The other direction will take you past the iconic Portmeirion to the bustling harbour town of Porthmadog with its wide selection of shops and cafes. Please note that this cottage is not available to let in Low Peak and Peak weeks.

However, if you like this cottage but think you'd like to bring the rest of the family or friends, then why not have a look at Cynefin where, with the addition of a garden annexe, it can sleep a further 6 people.
