    “Extremely spacious and comfortable.”

The accommodation was very well situated, with many local amenities available. The kitchen and dining area are a great size, with lots of storage available. The accommodation was very well situated, with many local amenities available. The kitchen and dining area are a great size, with lots of storage available. The living room spaces and bedrooms were also all very well-sized, and the beds were very comfy. The Wendover Pub itself was also really good, and we didn't hear any noise from the pub during our stay. There were a few little issues, but nothing that can't be easily fixed: the TV in the second sitting room (not in the kitchen area) was temperamental, with the picture and sound quality dipping at various points; the blinds in the first bedroom (by the sitting room) were broken and lying on the floor when we arrived (we placed them back up, but they're not affixed, so they could come down again if disturbed); there was only one pan in the kitchen, so cooking for a large group was a little difficult at times; there were a few broken or damaged items in the accommodation (glass table in the main sitting room was cracked, multiple curtain hooks had been pulled off, legs on one of the couches in the second sitting room had come off (we fixed them back on, but they could potentially come off again if the couch was moved)); some of the areas/work surfaces were a little dusty and/or sticky). However, these are all minor issues that could easily be rectified, and didn't significantly impact our stay. Overall, it was a very affordable, spacious and pleasant accommodation that I would highly recommend to others.

The property

The Wendover is a large duplex apartment, set over the first and second floors, in a prime, coastal position in Towyn, Conwy.

Resting above a pub and restaurant of the same name and boasting ample, luxurious facilities, The Wendover guarantees a marvellous stay for a family or group of 16.

The apartment enjoys access to ample off-road parking in an enclosed area, with enough space for everyone in the family to safely park their vehicles, before climbing the stairs to this impressive abode.

Head inside to a stylish open-plan living space, with a contemporary kitchen hosting everything the designated chef needs to make mouthwatering meals for all the family to enjoy at the peninsula dining table.

The apartment also boasts a well-equipped terrace; this space is ideal for an alfresco meal, where you can enjoy a soak in the hot tub afterwards.

Back in the open-plan living space, settle down at the sitting area in front of the Smart TV with a glass of wine, or venture to the games room where a bar, table football, arcade table and a projector provide even more evening entertainment!

The games room additionally opens out to a balcony, where glimpses of the sea can be seen.

After enjoying quality time with your group, choose one of seven fantastic bedrooms to rest in, the first, a family room on the first floor, enjoying access to a nearby shower room, where a luxurious unwind can be enjoyed in the space's sauna and multi-jet power shower.

Ascend the stairs to the second floor; where five of the remaining six bedrooms rest made up of three doubles; all of these bedrooms are home to flatscreen TVs that are integrated into beds, making for perfect nighttime entertainment!

Last, but not least, the beautifully-appointed master bedroom, lies at the end of the second-floor corridor, hosting an emperor bed and enjoying its own TV, walk-in wardrobe, en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath and multi-jet power shower, along with access to a twin bedroom; perfect for four members of the group seeking a little more privacy.

When you're feeling peckish, head down to the ground floor to the Wendover Pub and be served hearty meals with a pint, or wander a short distance into the heart of Towyn to access well-equipped shops and tasty eateries.

Towyn truly makes for a memorable day out, with its Tir Prince Fun Park providing families with amusements and fairground rides, the Tir Prince Raceway offering regular events and, of course, the stunning shores of Kinmel Bay Beach and its adjoining promenade providing ample fun in the sun.

Cross the River Clwyd to Rhyl, home to a large variety of things to do, from its aquarium and water park, to its miniature railway and country park.

For even more coastal fun, travel a little further to Prestatyn, where a beachfront golf club, the beautiful Gronant Dunes and several beaches can be found.

There is plenty to do in Conwy, with more coastal settlements being found nearby, including Llandudno and Colwyn Bay, along with the historic county town of Conwy and the vast Snowdonia National Park resting within easy reach.

There is so much fun waiting to be had at The Wendover.
