Be prepared........TO HAVE YOUR BREATH TAKEN AWAY!
This is the most beautiful house in the most IDYLLIC situation.
Cae Llyn holiday house has been in the same ownership for three generations and is a much loved holiday home. As a result, it is bursting with charm and happiness which rubs off on all visitors.
The house maintains much of its original 1930s charm and detail but has been carefully modernised so that it is very comfortable and well equipped. It is full of beautiful paintings of the locality by the acclaimed local artist who lives next door. Cae Llyn overlooks the quiet and picturesque bay of Rhoscolyn.
There has been very little development due to the large area of reed bed that backs onto the lovely sandy beach with views over to Snowdonia and the Llŷn Peninsula. There is a fabulous pub within a short walk (The White Eagle), which serves delicious locally sourced food. A resident fisherman also sells fresh seafood from his back door!
The house nestles in a two-acre garden which runs down to a safe and secluded cove with its own private access just metres from the house. It's perfect for buckets and spades and all other beach activities such as shrimping, exploring, dinghy sailing, fishing etc. All in all, it's a natural paradise for children and adults alike. The magic is you don't have to get in a car to go to the beach and if you forget anything or need the loo you just run back up the garden!
"A wonderful house retaining much of it's 1930's charm, carefully modernised, in an idyllic beachside location!"
The garden is made up of rock outcrops, heather and areas of flat mown grass. It is ideal for hide and seek, Cowboys and Indian's, cricket etc. It even has its own little bridge over a small stream. There are lovely secluded areas for sunbathing and eating out while listening to the sounds of the waves lap on the seashore and the call of the gulls.
The holiday house sits on the famous coastal path which runs the length of Wales so Cae Llyn is perfect for keen walkers any time of year. Just head out the door and turn left or right for spectacular unspoilt walks on your doorstep!
As a winter getaway, the house is cosy and warm with two open fires, oil central heating and an AGA - cuddle up by the fire with a good book. Or just gaze out of the windows at the fabulous views and watch the clouds float by and the waves roll into the bay.
While we reckon you will never want to leave Cae Llyn you can book a kayaking or coasteering session with the local outward bound guide (B-active) or visit nearby ancient castles such as Beaumaris and National Trust houses and gardens.

For position Cae Llyn is hard to beat, we felt privileged to stay here. Clare's interest in conservation has meant that she has taken the trouble to restore the original windows which make the views even better! There are many lov…
My children don’t want to go anywhere else and would forego a Greek holiday every time! Precious and everlasting memories are made every time we return.
