This really is a holiday house with a view! It is nestled into the hillside of Bont Ddu, overlooking the Mawddach estuary and the Cadair Idris mountain range. Come rain or shine this view will never fail to impress, whether from inside or outside the house! From the back of the house, you can walk for miles and miles through the most beautiful woodland with cascading waterfalls and the famous Clogau gold mine.

"An astonishingly beautiful view across the Mawddach Estuary to Cadair Idris. Come rain or shine you will enjoy the luxury and comfort of this house all on one floor."

If you can tear yourself away from this delightful rural retreat, 10 minutes' drive will take you into the popular seaside town of Barmouth, where time seems to have stopped and you can still see donkeys on the beach. A permanent seaside fairground and a great selection of shops, cafes and pubs make this a wonderful place to visit. Dolgellau, a pretty market town, is just four miles away and has plenty of restaurants.

Another place to visit if you are looking for good pub food and a famous Welsh welcome is the fantastic Mawddach Bar, just a few miles away. The local cycling facilities are great, with the Coed y Brenin forest and cycle centre close by and the Dolgellau to Barmouth Mawddach cycle path just two miles away.

Offering comfort and luxury, with all the rooms on one floor, Taliesin is perfect for families. Its delightful country garden is awash with colour in the spring and summer, and makes the most beautiful spot in which to relax and soak up the spectacular views.
