The Ship Inn, Red Wharf Bay, Anglesey, North Wales

The Ship Inn is in a stunning location looking out over Red Wharf Bay - so picturesque!

“Quintessential olde worlde pub.”

A traditional and thoroughly charming quayside inn which serves excellent food using seasonal local produce and fresh seafood. The food is great, from open prawn sandwiches to freshly caught fish and delicious steaks, it's got everything you would expect from a wonderfully traditional pub. There is an extensive wine list and impressive collection of real ales, as well as a children’s menu for junior shipmates. The inn sits right on the beachfront at Red Wharf Bay and has the most stunning views across the expansive sands to the low hills and forest in the distance.

If the weather is right, you can eat outside at tables overlooking the water. And if it’s not you can cosy up to the log fires inside. A building over 300 years, old the Inn comes with its own rich history and has a fantastic olde worlde feel. The only slight downside is that if you have children you eat in a separate part of the pub which is not quite so atmospheric.

Other useful info

The outside seating area is just delightful, especially on a sunny summers day. It does get very busy on a good day so you might have to wait if you really do want to sit outside to make the most of the good weather.
