Llithfaen, Llŷn Peninsula, North Wales

Llithfaen is the highest village on the Llŷn Peninsula, and as such, it commands spectacular views over Cardigan Bay. Its size increased with the granite quarries established on Yr Eifl and provided its inhabitants with a different method of income than collecting heather and selling it as kindling in Pwllheli. It is very proud of its welsh heritage and is home to the welsh language and cultural centre Nant Gwrtheyrn.
