Red Boat ice cream parlour, Beaumaris, Anglesey

Red Boat ice cream parlour, in the heart of Beaumaris, is the perfect place to enjoy the finest ice cream, and lots more tasty treats, in their newly opened restaurant area.

“Go gaga over gelato!”

Tony and Lyn are committed to delivering delicious ice creams, sorbets and lots more tasty treats to the beautiful seaside town of Beaumaris. With flavours such as creme brulee, bara brith and jammy dodger you’ll be spoilt for choice with all the incredibly exciting flavours. Don’t fear it’s not just gelato on the menu; with savoury and sweet pancakes, pizza, soup, sandwiches, ciabattas, dessert waffles and even breakfast options - there’ll be something for everyone in this pretty parlour. They have recently opened an area upstairs that is focused less on ice cream and more on the wonderful selection of delicious savoury and sweet food also on offer here.

Tony trained in the art of ice cream making in the world famous Carpigiani University of Italy - so you’re in safe hands! The gelato is made fresh on the premises so you can be sure it’ll be the best tasting ice cream for miles! Enjoy relaxing in this marvellous medieval property.

Opening times

Open daily, 10am - 5pm. They only close on Christmas Day!

Dietary requirements

Gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian and dairy free options.

There is no designated parking for the cafe. However, there is on-road parking available. This can be trickier during the busy summer months, especially around lunchtime. There is on-road parking around Beaumaris town, as well as a large green on the seafront where you can pay to park the car all day, which is a short walk away.

Mostly level- some steps or lips.

Dogs are welcome in the outside seating area and downstairs, but not upstairs.

Other useful info

  • Expect weird and wonderful ice cream and sorbet flavours. Nicole from our team highly recommends the Pina Colada sorbet if they have it!

  • This place gets super busy in the summer months or on sunny days throughout the year. Be prepared to wait - but trust us when we say it's worth it.

  • The outside seating area is nice on a sunny day, but is right on the main road through the town so do bear that in mind.
