Dylan’sCriccieth, Llŷn Peninsula

Dylan’s restaurant was a 2015 addition to the seaside village of Criccieth and is a unique and extremely popular restaurant and bar with sea views, renowned for its spectacular seafood dishes. One of their specialities is their locally sourced mussels in cream and cider - but don’t fret! With a large selection of meat and vegetarian options as well as a children’s menu, there is something to suit everyone’s pallette.

Description

Dylan’s has got the ‘restaurant recipe’ down - a large varied menu, classic dishes, excellent staff, a spacious contemporary dining space and a ‘meet and greet bar’, not to mention the outstanding location! The restaurant is set in the ‘Moranedd’ building designed by Portmeirion architect Sir Clough William-Ellis, and Dylan’s followed his original blueprint - the result, a beautiful building beside the beautiful beach looking over to Criccieth Castle! This superb venue holds annual events including film nights, comedy and music for all to enjoy.

Dylan’s has been awarded Harden’s Best UK Restaurants 2016 and the Michelin guide 2016 - and quite rightly so! Locals and tourists alike return time and time again to get a taste of the prawn, squid and scallop tacos, spicy lamb kofta, and of course Dylan’s club pizza! There are daily changing specials to keep regular visitors on their toes, and sharers and platters for those who want a little taste of everything! All dishes are locally sourced where possible, well cooked and well presented. There are several desserts to choose from too! The Messy Mon ‘Eton mess’ is a true crowd pleaser, and you can’t go wrong with Dylan’s Caramel Sundae!

Your meal can be enjoyed inside the restaurant in the thick of the great atmosphere or it can be enjoyed outside on the terrace overlooking Criccieth beach - pure bliss! If we may say so ourselves, with one of Dylan’s fabulous cocktails in hand, an evening doesn’t get much better than this! From Gin and Earl Grey martini to Malibu punch, you may have to stay all night to try them all!
