Alison Bradley Gallery, Betws y Coed, Snowdonia, North Wales

Alison Bradley is an artist who has, like many of us, fallen head over heels for the outstanding countryside, beaches and mountains of North Wales. Her surrounding scenery, the people, and their animals have all inspired her artwork. The result is beautiful paintings which can be viewed in her gallery in the centre of Betws-y-Coed on the outskirts of Snowdonia.

You will not regret taking the time to nip into this fantastic gallery. With a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome, adults, older children and even the family dog will enjoy wandering around the exhibition exploring the local area through a series of oil paintings and charcoal sketches. Originals can be bought as well as prints, and framing is available here too. This captivating gallery contains so much talent just waiting to be seen!

Description

Alison Bradley’s artwork mainly consists of landscape paintings done in oil paints. She predominantly works with these on canvas or board, but also works with charcoal creating very atmospheric images. When creating a painting she will initially sketch from life, and then use reference photographs and memory when transferring the image to a large-scale piece in her studio. Many of her paintings reveal layers of paint which have been applied over days, and sometimes weeks. Her originals are on constant display, with the addition of a range of reproduction prints available for purchase. Her work has been in several other galleries across North Wales too. Landscapes, portraits, horses and dogs, you are bound to find a picture here that you will just have to take home!

Customers are made to feel very welcome in the relaxed gallery by Alison and her partner Jon Davies who offers framing to compliment her artwork. He specializes in oak frames but also has art glass, hand swept frames and mount boards with plenty of choices to ensure the right picture has the right frame to match. The pair produce high-quality work which you will find very hard to say no to. After viewing their work I have no doubt that you will want to make your way around all the stunning places in the pictures and see the wonderful sights of North Wales!
