Zip World Velocity at Penrhyn QuarryBethesda, Snowdonia

Zip World Velocity, Bethesda, Snowdonia, North Wales

If you have a need for speed this activity will hit the spot! This is the longest zip line in Europe, at just under a mile, and the fastest in the World.

This activity is the nearest thing to flying. Set in Penrhyn Quarry, you initially build your courage on the Little Zipper, and then travel in the zip world road trucks up the quarry to the summit. From here you can enjoy stunning views across to Anglesey, before your exhilarating Zip Wire descent, for just under a mile on the Big Zipper. You can reach speeds of up to 100mph whilst speeding over the quarry lake so definitely an activity for thrill seekers.

If this isn’t for you, you can enjoy the spectacle without having to take part. Hop on the off-road truck and enjoy the story of the quarry, whilst being taken through the quarry to the summit to enjoy the views and watch the action, and then return back to the start via road rather than zip wire!

Please note - we have marked this as a family-friendly activity, however, there are age, height and weight restrictions for velocity. Children must be at least 10 years to participate but please see Zip world's website for their full list of restrictions.
