Criccieth Holiday Cottages

Criccieth - a traditional seaside town with sweeping sandy beaches

Criccieth, Llŷn Peninsula, North Wales

Visitors to our Criccieth holiday cottages love its old-fashioned seaside charm, beautiful sandy bay, excellent ice cream and pretty little high street shops. But it’s the medieval castle built by Llywelyn the Great - Prince of Gwynedd and Ruler of Wales - that steals the show. It sits up high on a rocky headland looking out to Tremadog Bay on one side and the town’s rooftops on the other. The castle is an important part of the story of Wales: fifty years after it was built by Llywelyn it was annexed by the English monarch Edward I.
