Y Felinheli Holiday Cottages

A great central base for exploring North Wales

Y Felinheli, Snowdonia, North Wales

Y Felinheli is a lovely little village nestled right on the shores of the Menai Strait. Legend has it the name originates from a mill built close to the shore called 'Aber y felin'. Possibly better known, in English though, as Port Dinorwic; with its link with the former slate quarry now home to the National Slate Museum. A definite destination to learn more about the rich history of this village. Now a favourite with pleasure boats, sailing and walking; this picturesque village benefits from fantastic views, and is a brilliant base to explore Anglesey, Snowdonia and the Llŷn Peninsula from!
