“Dirty kitchen which we just dealt with as didn’t want to seem petty.”

Left the house as we found it. A week later Sykes/owners alleged we had left stains on the carpet which was untrue. Sykes notified us and immediately deducted money from our bank account despite us disputing the allegation and raising an issue as to the delay. Left the house as we found it. A week later Sykes/owners alleged we had left stains on the carpet which was untrue. Sykes notified us and immediately deducted money from our bank account despite us disputing the allegation and raising an issue as to the delay. I felt double aggrieved due to the dirty kitchen but when I raised that they said I didn’t raise it at the time. The same rules clearly don’t apply to owners. They took no action about the dirty kitchen and simply ignored my messages. I waited before posting this as I wanted to give them a chance to respond but they clearly don’t intend to. Very poor service. Shame as the property is in a wonderful location. Wouldn’t use or recommend again.

No notification of dirty kitchen, where was this message sent too, any photos would be great , what exactly was dirty ? I do hope Sykes showed you photos of stains as the carpet was newly cleaned for summer season . £30 cleaning charge was fair as some properties would have charged full carpet clean. They looked like pet stains and dirty boot marks so had to be addressed. Always aim to provide a warm and welcoming stay and apologise if you didn’t feel this , 5 star rating from all previous customers. Shame you didn’t message me direct , I’d already messaged you regarding storm and fallen aerial, no mention on fast service on how I managed to source an aerial fitter within 24hrs in time for your stay.
