Zip World Penrhyn Quarry

1. Velocity 2

An adventure like no other. Velocity 2 is a truly exhilarating experience. Soar through the skies as you travel at speeds of up to 100mph over Penrhyn Quarry and take in unbeatable views of Snowdonia National Park.

Velocity 2 is one of our favourite things to do in Snowdonia and is a bucket list experience for all the adrenaline junkies out there.

2. Quarry Karts

Quarry Karts is the UK’s only mountain cart experience. Starting 1,500ft above sea level, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of Snowdonia National Park before you set off on your exhilarating journey.

Mount your gravity fuelled three-wheeler and descend down the obstacle-filed slate track. You get two runs, each taking approximately 5 minutes as you drift around corners and tackle obstacles.

3. Penryn Quarry Tour

Don’t fancy the high-speed zip-line? Then the Penrhyn Quarry Tour is for you. This 90-minute experience takes you 1,500 feet above sea level in a red ex-army truck. A great opportunity to learn all about the history of Penrhyn Quarry from an experienced tour guide.

Witness stunning views of the Ogwen Valley and Menai Strait – all whilst keeping both feet firmly on the ground. You’ll hear all about the oldest slate quarry in the world, watch the brave zip-liners soar across the quarry and then return to the Blondin Restaurant, where you can enjoy some tea and cake.

4. Quarry Flyer

The Quarry Flyer is a zip-line experience for children and adults not quite ready for the white-knuckle ride of Velocity 2.

5. Aero Explorer

The newest experience at the Penrhyn site is the Aero Explorer. With speeds up to 30 MPH, this adventure is aimed to make you feel like you’re flying through the quarry by gliding across 400m of track. 1. Bounce Below

The Nets at Bounce Below at Zip World

Jump, bounce and slide your way through a disused mine during this underground net adventure. Bounce Below is a fun-filled activity for children and big kids alike, with spectator areas for those who’d rather relax at the sidelines.

Spend an hour enjoying the six trampoline-style nets built into an area twice the size of St Paul’s Cathedral. Great for a group of friends, families or adventurous couples.

2. Titan 2

A thrilling tour and zip-lining experience, Titan 2 was once Europe’s first four-person zip line. Today, the adventure begins with a 45 minutes tour through the Llechwedd Slate Quarry, 1400ft high up in the incredible manmade mountains.

It’s then time to get ready for an exhilarating 1km descent back down through the quarry. This zip-line experience is seated, giving you plenty of chance to take in the panoramic views of Snowdonia National Park.

3. Caverns

4. Deep Mine Tour

5. Big Red
