“The flat was warm, bright & clean & is in an excellent location.”

There was initially some noise from the flat above, but they left the day after we arrived, & from then on it was empty. It would have been useful to have information on how to use some of the appliances, eg: microwave. The living area would have benefited from more ambient lighting in the evening. The beds were comfortable, although the bedding in the 2nd room was old & coming loose. Overall, we would be happy to stay there again, as it's such a good base to visit Anglesey.

“Great location .”

Nice modern apartment but quality of bedding was poor. Garden area a bit depressing-needs weeding and outdoor chimena full of cigarette butts. Not an appealing place to sit in. Worst of all was noise from family in upstairs flat. Screaming and shouting and constant running up and down. Glad we only had to put up with it for one night.

“Really enjoyed our stay, well located for the shops, eating establishments and the beach.”

Great location for exploring Anglesey and over into North Wales. We had two minor issues which did not spoil our stay, the plug in the bathroom wash basin did not seal fully so water drained away during use, secondly, the sliding doors leading into the garden were heavy to open, and the locking mechanism on the doors took a bit of working out in so far that it was possible to lock the doors, but in the open position. This however would not prevent us in staying at this property again and we thoroughly recommend it.

Location was fantastic, 10 minutes walk to the Benllech's fab beach, all local facilities in walking distance. The apartment was lovely, very well equipped and enclosed garden was a big plus for the dog. Would highly recommend.

“Property in an excellent location.”

Great garden. All equipment provided. Finished to a high spec other than the bedrooms the bedding, quilt and pillows had all seen better days and the furnishings were cheaply thrown together and no TV ( just a personal preference ) so not in keeping with the rest of the apartment. the noise from the upper apartment was horrendous there was 2 different families stayed over the course of my stay and both made an absolute racket and that isnt an exaggeration which did spoil my break.

“Our 3rd visit to Anglesey but our first to the apartment in Cysgod Y Capel and have to say it is beautiful.”

Excellent in every aspect from the private outdoor parking to the well sized kitchen living room 2 double bedrooms 2 bathrooms (1 en suite) and outdoor fully enclosed garden space which was perfect for our Jack Russell Bruno (who loved the numerous easily accessible beaches) and also just a couple of minutes walk from Tesco Finneys chippy (which we used twice delicious) Indian and Chinese cuisine and the Benllech Pub ( which we also enjoyed a fantastic evening meal ) so our 4 night stay was amazing would thoroughly recommend.

“A really lovely week at this very clean & comfortable, centrally located apartment in Benllech.”

A real home from home. It felt very well maintained, modern, bright & airy. I would definitely recommend & return as it was so comfortable & handy for walking to Benllech beach every morning with the dog, who had the best time! The lay out with doors closing to the lounge meant it was easy to keep him contained in there with access to the garden, as we do not allow our dog in bedrooms, so it worked really well for us. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack that was much appreciated - a lovely gesture. There was also loo roll & hand soap provided & some tea bags, so nice to not have to dash straight to the shops. The kitchen cupboards were full of helpful bits & bobs that made self catering a great option. Salt & pepper, seasoning, oil & all the pots & pans etc. Tesco is just over the road so very convenient for anything missing. We stocked up on loo roll, dishwasher tablets & laundry liquids & left those for the next guests. I have stayed in places where nothing is left, so it was nice to find a few essentials in the cupboards we were able to use & also leave bits for others to appreciate. Bath towels also included which saved a load of packing space. Our dog really enjoyed the garden & there is even a sea view. Don’t be put off that its an apartment, it felt much more like a bungalow. Yes you can hear the neighbours upstairs but it didn’t bother us at all & wasn’t a problem. Really appreciated the washing machine as we were often sandy & had packed very light. Drying everything on just an airer was a bit of a pain, a washing line would have been great. I’m loathe to use tumble dryers but there were times I did need one as we packed so light, but it wasn’t working, so sometimes it took a couple of days to get things dry. The bed in the main ensuite bedroom was so comfortable, we slept really well. There is an allocated parking space but also plenty of room for a 2nd car if required. Only draw back for us was the kids had to share a double bed & as our son is now 11, he’s getting to an age he’s not comfortable sharing a double bed with his little sister. Next summer we’ll need a bedroom with 2 single beds, otherwise we’d be back here in a heartbeat. Thank you for a really lovely stay. We highly recommend.

“The apartment was fantastic, very clean & cosy and the location can't be beaten.”

The cupboards were left with all the little things you may forget to take on holiday (like bins bags etc) which is a nice touch too. The only negative is how thin the ceiling is, the above tenant sounded like a herd of elephants for 2 days (kids running around very early in the morning) and this was a tad disappointing given we were on holiday for a quiet break.

“The property was lovely and ideally located and we had a fabulous break and would highly recommend.”

There were however a few little niggly issues that I am sure will be sorted ( hence not top marking for maintenance). The lightbulb in one of ceiling lights was blown but the spare bulb in the cupboard was broken so it was quite dark in the evening. There was no window key in one of the bedrooms- not an issue for us but as weather gets hotter it will become problematic as window couldn’t be opened. Unfortunately there was dried up dog poo in the corner of garden which we had to dispose of, not very pleasant but if I had children I would have been very unhappy. Clearly a previous occupant and housekeeping had missed it before we arrived so that is something to feedback. Finally we found bed mattress in main bedroom fairly soft and not very comfortable, but maybe that was our personal preference. All these points are minor though and I would still recommend this as a great property.

“The key safe was difficult to use, could probably do with replacing.”

The kitchen patio door lock was also very stiff. We had an 87 year old with us who struggled to get up from the sofa ( and that was the higher one, we struggled with the lower one!!). The addition of a higher armchair would help and/or blocks under the low sofa to raise it. Our dog was well catered for at the accommodation but would be worth warning potential guests that beach access is restricted. It was a shame to gave a lovely beach nearby and not be able to go on it.

“This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this location and apartment, we love it in benllech.”

The apartment is ideal for us especially with it being on the ground floor where our Springer Ella can come and go all day in the back garden (she didn't want to come home). The apartment is clean, well stocked and nice welcome goodies waiting for us. The local amenities are handy. The beach is just a nice 10mins walk, albeit down a steep road, but if you don't walk, you can use the car. There is a car park near the beach and toilet facilities which are very clean. Ella loves it on the beach and in the sea, makes a change for her daily exercise on the road or in a field. Lovely places to visit and explore. We will certainly be going back again.

We loved the apartment, what we didn't love was being woken up at 7am every morning by the horrendous noise from the apartment above. We went there for a relaxing peaceful break but the noise was too much. Unfortunately, we will not stay at this property again because of this reason.

my only niggle, was the cleaning could have had a bit more attention to detail, glass windows and doors not cleaned, kitchen cupboard not cleaned inside and finger marks left on outside of lovely white cupboards. bedroom window couldn't be opened as key to window was missing and the room was very hot, so had to sleep with bedroom door open. bedsheets were too small for the size of the bed and kept coming off which was a nuisance. The mattress protector was plastic underneath, and so was sweaty. But all said, it was a beautiful place, and would go back again.

“The apartment was great, everything we needed with plenty of room in the open plan main area.”

Lots of nice extras with games, dvds, bits and pieces in kitchen. Great private parking, a real added bonus in the area! Nice to have a little outdoor area for the dog plus the table and chairs to be able to sit out. Towels were lovely and soft, bedding was all good- these little things make all the difference. Great location with fab chippy and Indian plus good pub all on doorstep. Beach was lovely with the dog friendly part at the far end. The thing to ruin our time in the apartment was the people upstairs. Whenever they were home, the young grandson was allowed to literally run riot from 7am until 9pm. Running around continuously, shouting, banging doors. It really did ruin what was meant to be our peaceful holiday when in the apartment in the mornings and evenings. Not your fault but it is the reason we would not book again even though we plan to return to the area and the apartment was absolutely what we would look for in a place to stay. Thank you for making it such a homely place to be. You really have made a good job.

“The property is great sadly let down by very restrictive check in (5pm) and check out (9am) times.”

Never stayed anywhere, hotel or other that has such hours. Even left the night before so not to have all the hassle of getting out by 9am. Very good property and location but would not rebook because of the checkin and check out times. Two issues that require attention. The back gate is warped and sticks which does not help access the key box. Second bedroom. When stripping the bed on leaving, stain on the duvet. Other than that property very clean and good facilities.

The location was brilliant and we could not have asked for better. All was satisfactory and no problems encountered. The only thing we did not find was a scourer for pan cleaning but remedied at Tesco Express! Perhaps this item could be added to the list of things one should take with you. Our only observation would be the 9.00 am departure time. In order to leave the apartment as we wished we left to travel home on the previous day. Thank you for a great break.

“Great flat in a great central location.”

Lovely and clean upon arrival. The only thing that made it difficult with two small children was check in being 5pm (tea and bath time) and check out at 9am. The check out being an hour later and check in being an hour earlier would have made it a lot less stressful. But the actual flat was lovely and we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

“A comfortable, clean and spacious apartment in an ideal location for amenities, beach and exploring Anglesey.”

The garden is a good spot to relax. The only downside is that one of the two people staying in the apartment above was very heavy footed and frequently pounded on our ceiling whilst walking up and down for quite long periods of time. We had to put the tv on to drown out the noise. There should be a notice in the apartment above asking people to be mindful there are occupants below. The upper apartment needs something on the floor to dampen the noise.

“Having stayed at this property last year, we have no issues at all with the location, comfort or cleanliness of the apartment.”

However there were a number of things which have dampened our enthusiasm and taken the shine from our holiday experience. We were aware that there was a building plot at the rear of the property and were astounded to find that construction work was underway and lasted throughout our visit. This involved large mechanical diggers, welding of steel girders, cement mixing and vehicles entering and exiting the site. It made use of the outside space virtually impossible due to the noise and dust. We are extremely disappointed that this was not mentioned prior to our visit. We did send an email to Menai Holidays to advise of the unsatisfactory situation and received a phone call back from Anthony COR-175923-CF. We have sent photos & videos as evidence but we have not had a reply despite requesting an update. Secondly, the property includes a washing machine which does not work. I mentioned this to the house keeper on day 2 of our visit and supplied the make and model of the machine however nothing was actioned before we left. Thirdly, there are no recycling facilities within the apartment block. We made several journeys to a recycling centre in Benllech to dispose of our recycling. Sadly other guests within the apartment block did not, which led to the general waste bins becoming full & black bin bags being left next to our front door. The seagulls took great delight in shredding the bin bags on a daily basis. Finally, it is unfortunate that as residents of the ground floor you are reliant on the upstairs occupants showing some courtesy during their stay. At times the noise on the ceiling from above was horrendous and when combined with the noise outside made for a very unpleasant experience. Whilst we are happy to recommend the property we would very much welcome your feedback to the issues we have raised. We look forward to hearing back from you shortly.

“The apartment is centrally located close to all amenities.”

It is modern and has a superb kitchen and open plan lounge which opens out to an enclosed private garden. There are views to the sea and it is just a short walk to the beach. It has two lovely bedrooms one of which is ensuite and a great bathroom. We chose to leave the car the entire 3 nights stay and explore the local coast. It was great for our dog who loved it. We would highly recommend the accommodation.

It is an ideal location as so close to shops, beach etc and you can spend the day without the car by walking to Red Wharf Bay. The property itself is comfortable and ideal for 2 people. It has views to the sea which is nice. The only criticism this time was that the standard of cleanliness was not as high as it should have been and I left details of this on the feedback sheet for the cleaning company. A suggestion to the owners - the window in the 2nd bedroom has no lock / security on it so cannot be left open at night as it is the ground floor and anyone could gain access through it. We would have liked to book again next year but on checking the website have found that the cost has increased by over £100 for the same period, so will be unaffordable.

Lovely decor and really comfortable. Everything you might need is there. Lovely little garden that has a view of the sea and is a bit of a sun trap. Location is fantastic- 5 minutes walk to the brilliant beach and a couple of minutes to shops and takeaways (the best fish and chips are found less than two minutes away). Perfect location for visiting all of Anglesey.

Someone has spent a lot of time (successfully) making this the best equipped place I have stayed in. Chippy, Chinese, curry house, Tesco express and pub all within 50 yards....but you don't get any noise as the apartment is set back from the road.

Easy drive/walk to red wharf bay and surrounding areas. Lovely garden area that is enclosed so perfect with a child. And lovely if the weather is nice. Well equipped kitchen.

Walkers can easily pick up the Anglesey Coastal Path and there are so many attractions just a short drive away, such as the Iron Age ruins at Din Lligwy.

Snowdonia National Park is also only half an hour away, making Cysgod Y Capel a great location for a holiday to North Wales!
