Llandudno is a great base for any holiday. This bustling seaside town has a huge sheltered beach, with a long Victorian Pier and wide promenade. In the summer the beach is a popular spot for families. You will find traditional Punch and Judy shows here, boat trips, and the Pier (the longest in the UK) comes alive with fairground rides and food stores. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle take a tram or cable car to the top of the Great Orme. On a clear day the views are stunning from here - stretching as far as the Isle of Man. As well as enjoying some beautiful walks, you can visit the Bronze Age Copper Mines or even have a go at ski-ing or tobogganing on the dry ski slope.

Llandudno is packed with lots of great traditional pubs, a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and bars. The Mostyn Art gallery is Wales' leading gallery for international contemporary art, and Venue Cymru theatre hosts a wide selection of plays, bands, and musicals. With an active events diary throughout the year, Llandudno should definitely be on your list of places to visit in North Wales.
