    “We had a lovely week, despite the variable weather.”

    The cottage is as described. The location is very quiet and secluded. Just the odd passing vehicle, mainly tractors. We had no real issue with parking despite having a fairly large car. There was plenty of kitchen/dining equipment. No TV was not a problem either, as there is decent WiFi if you need it. The garden was a peaceful retreat, with lots of birdsong, and a friendly robin. The only two criticisms would be a) the lack of blackout curtains or blinds on the windows. There were good blinds ...

The only two criticisms would be a) the lack of blackout curtains or blinds on the windows. There were good blinds for the skylights though. This was summer and bright sunshine at 4am was a problem for sleeping and b) the uncomfortable sitting room chairs. It was quite uncomfortable if using for more than 20 minutes. The pretty early checkout time of 9am seems a bit rushed, so we left the preceding day. If you have children it may be a problem. However, this did not detract from a very lovely holiday.

The property

Ffrwd Cottage is a wonderfully sweet traditional welsh cottage sleeping up to four people on Anglesey, nestled in the countryside but only a few miles from the ovely Aberffraw beach; the perfect setting for anyone who loves walking, cycling or even just wants a little peace and relaxation!

Inside the holiday cottage you’ll find a warm welcome, especially in front of the woodburner on cooler evenings! The open plan living space includes a well equipped kitchen with dining and sitting areas; the kitchen has an electric oven, hob, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster with a separate utility which houses the washing machine.

The dining and sitting areas both enjoy the warmth from a wood burning stove where there is a small farmhouse table and two upholstered armchairs.

The master bedroom has a double bed with skylight above to enjoy the stars on a clear night; the twin bedroom is ideal for children.

The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, towel radiator, loo and hand basin.

Outside is a magical garden that is laid to lawn and left natural with a pic-nic style table and garden bench to sit and enjoy the countryside and there is one roadside parking space at the front of the holiday cottage.

Ffrwd Cottage is rare in that there’s no TV - you’ll be able to catch up with those you’re holidaying with and make the most of the peace and quiet with the only sounds being the beautiful birdsong!

Newborough 3.9 miles; Bangor 15.9 miles; Beaumaris 17.7 miles; Caernarfron 20.2 miles.

Bodorgan is a sleepy hamlet set in rural Anglesey on the outskirts of Aberffraw and Malltraeth, where you will find some lovely popular sandy beaches and the famous Llanddwyn Island and its lighthouse. with views over towards Snowdonia. Lots of great circular walks.

Note: The roadside parking to the front of the cottage, requires the vehicle to be parked close to the cottage and please be assured that there is sufficient space for the local farmers to pass.
