“It’s a lovely property, very well furnished and all necessities were available.”

Few gripes though as the mattresses are lumpy and uncomfortable and as other guests have mentioned to shower temperature is not consistent as goes hot and cold quickly. For my mother it was unsafe. The shower head does not work effectively and needs replacing. The snug room is smelling of damp. Beautiful area and all in driving distance.

We are sorry to hear you felt there were issues with the property during your stay. Reporting any concerns during your stay allows us to rectify any problems promptly. Our housekeeper found the shower to be in full working order, with a simple switch between 'low' and 'high' power modes altering the stream accordingly. Our appliance instructions, including for the shower, are all to be found within the property. The property, being Victorian and rural, does need good ventilation. Guests can assist in this by opening bathroom windows after taking showers, and elsewhere following heavy downpours. The housekeeper also found there were no issues with the mattresses, which are pocket sprung, of medium-firmness and which previous guests have reported as comfortable, restful and giving a good night's sleep. It may be that during your stay, the bedding 'bunched' momentarily, with movement. Thank you for your feedback and we trust this answers your queries. Property Owner
