Lyz “We had a lovely stay and would thoroughly recommend Ty Siam to anyone looking for a peaceful location close to the wonderful beaches.”
- Lyz, November 2025 -
Valerie “The house was everything we hoped for .”
The owners had supplied numerous toys and games and a wonderful play area , my grandsons really appreciated it . The welcome pack was great, very generous. The only gripe was there wasn’t much crockery for example ,only 6 mugs so if the dishwasher was on there were no spares but this is a minor gripe in the midst of so many positives
- Valerie, August 2025Hi Valerie, I am very glad you had a lovely time at the house. I will let the housekeeper know about the mug situation, there are usually a lot more. Thank you for the heads up. Property Owner
Christine “Lovely property in beautiful, quiet location, with large garden, perfect for children.”
- Christine, August 2025MICHAEL “Lovely property, the facilities are perfect for families, especially the garden for children and dogs.”
The only downside is the kitchen could do with an upgrade however the white goods are excellent.
- MICHAEL, June 2025Hi, thank you we appreciate your feedback. New windows and external doors and kitchen are on the list of upgrades to the house in the next two years. Property Owner
Hazel “A stunning location and grounds.”
House very comfortable, plenty of room and all the facilities required for our stay. The house is a little tired and could do with some repairs, but that didn’t take away any enjoyment staying in the house. Would recommend
- Hazel, June 2025Barbara “The only thing I’m not sure if it was mentioned are the 3 steps from dining area up to bedrooms.”
Also might be advisable to mention how high all the beds are. My mum aged 89 did struggle to get in and out of the bed even with the help of a foot stool. We did however have a great time and would certainly recommend to family and friends. We did try to book this place for a family summer holiday but as expected fully booked
- Barbara, April 2025Thank you for your feedback, we will add that there are some steps in the house. We were trying to make as step free as possible as my son has a wheelchair. Hopefully we will get planning permission at some point to add a bedroom that is on the same level as the rest of the house. Your Kindly David Betts(Owner) Property Owner
Edward “We stopped here in February half term.”
The property could be amazing. Lovely views lots of character car charger capability although tight to access. Unfortunately the maintenance is poor. The property was very dirty on arrival there was old food on chairs in kitchen we had to clean the kitchen area and the more you looked the worse it got. Dust dirt spiders webs pretty much everywhere you looked. Mould on all curtains treated or not and what looked to be active white mould in the corridor to the bedrooms. The bathrooms were nice although fan didn't actually work in en suite and the heating broke on the first night in half the property but to be fair this was rectified the next day so no major problem. The kitchen is falling apart delaminating every with scorch marks on doors by oven. cracked and loose tiles on kitchen floor The lady came and re cleaned property after acknowledging it had slipped but it wasn't great and I can say it was cleaner when we left. She seemed to have a reason for everything oh we are replacing that oh that just happened etc but it takes time for properties to slip like this. The log fire was nice and logs provided which was nice touch the TV had nice sound bar and was comfortable With a little bit of effort this place would be perfect but at the moment there is room for improvement. If owner or caretaker try todispute any of this feed back I have pictures to prove and it's unfortunate I can't post on here to show this is a very fair review.
- Edward, February 2025Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry that certain aspects of your stay did not meet expectations, and we regret that we didn’t deliver our usual high standard on this occasion. We had already arranged for our painter and curtain specialist to attend the property the week following your departure, as we were aware some areas—particularly the blackout curtain backings—were due for renewal. As with many traditional stone-built properties, ongoing maintenance is part of ensuring the character and comfort of the home, and we have a regular schedule in place to address these needs. We have new windows being installed in July to help reduce any condensation issues. We do want to acknowledge, however, that while these issues may have caused some inconvenience, you did choose to remain in the property for the full duration of your stay. Had the concerns been raised as unacceptable at the time, we would have been more than happy to arrange an alternative accommodation. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve, and we do hope that despite the issues, you were still able to enjoy your week with us. . Property Owner
Stuart “We really enjoyed our stay here.”
In a great location for travelling around Anglesey. Nice large space for children to play. The house has a really homely feel to it. Would recommend to friends and family.
- Stuart, December 2024Thank you for your lovely review Property Owner
Jamie “Stayed at Ty Siam as a family for October half term.”
Great location and a base to explore Anglesey, with the amazing Newborough Forest & Beach only a short drive. Our 7 & 10 year old boys loved playing football in the spacious grounds and making use of the climbing frame after returning from our day trips out. The entire accommodation was great, comfortable and spacious for the 7 of us staying with no complaints from the grandparents.
- Jamie, October 2024Allan “Ty Siam has many good points in its favour, sadly the owner seems not to grasp that there is an ongoing problem with poor cleanliness and maintenance which still needs to be addressed.”
- Allan, September 2024Our apologies. We generally have positive reviews on both normally so we will make sure that we check what went wrong in your case and make sure improvements are made. Property Owner
Huw “Absolutely loved our stay here, enjoyed the facilities & having not long been out of hospital the privacy was another big plus.”
It was immaculate & the welcome hamper was excellent. After spending 2 nights here I went online to book it again for next year
- Huw, August 2024Always lovely to hear our guests had a lovely time. Looking forward to your visit next year. Property Owner
Pamela “Excellent accommodation have been twice and would definitely return.”
- Pamela, August 2024Thank you it is lovely to get feedback we are very glad you had a good stay. Property Owner
Adele “Simply perfect for our family.”
Cannot wait to book again . Such lovely owners an example to all!!!
- Adele, July 2024Always wonderful to meet our guests, we are glad you had a wonderful stay with us. Property Owner
Eleanor “We loved the cottage, the beds were comfy and the layout was fab for the children.”
We loved the garden with the play equipment and the toy box and the location was fab for Newborough beach. The children loved exploring the field and going to see the animals in the mornings. The only thing that would improve our stay would be for some of the kitchen items to be updated, there’s a great range of utensils but only two matching wine glasses for example and we could only find 1 baking tray but there were maybe 4 roasting tins, several that didn’t fit in the oven. A few more mugs would be appreciated too. We loved the welcome hamper though, that was a really nice touch.
- Eleanor, April 2024Thank you for comments. We have updated some of the kitchen equipment and crockery on your advice. Thank you and much appreciated. Property Owner
Ann “Highly recommended.”
The property was great for our four generation family week on Anglesey. It was clean and well equipped. There were toys for the children and a big garden and climbing frame for them to play on. It was well heated, with constant hot water and a special mention goes to the beds, very comfortable with crisp, hotel standard bedlinen. Ty Siam is close to attractions including the Newborough forest and beach. We loved Sea Zoo, Halen Mor,( the tour was very interesting) and Pili Pallas( great for under 5s but interesting for adults too).
- Ann, April 2024Thank you much appreciated. We try to stay on top of all Comments from our guests. We are glad your enjoyed your stay. Property Owner
Janet “Ty Siam was a wonderful place.”
Very homely and not spotless.
- Janet, March 2024Gavin “This is the second time we have stayed here.”
The location is brilliant and the house has so much potential. On our last visit new bathrooms had been installed but we were disappointed that they had not been maintained. The biggest issue was mould all over the tray of the en-suite shower. We spent time cleaning this off as best we could. We also appreciate the age and type of the property but the amount of cobwebs and dust, particularly behind the master bed and on bedroom ceilings showed a lack of cleaning routines. High level dusting is very much needed. Also, one of the beds bedding was dirty and didn’t look like it had been changed, we changed this ourselves using spare bedding found. There is a lack of cups, glassware, wine glasses. Most of the crockery is chipped, which is a shame as they were all perfect the year previous. We really like the property but unfortunately we won’t return again, unless the issues with cleaning are addressed.
- Gavin, March 2024The bedding is always changed and we were very surprised that any bedding was not changed as we pride ourselves in really good bedding. All we can do on this occasion is apologise and we will make sure we do better next time. Thank you P.S. We have renewed many items in the kitchen now and will continue to keep on top of this. Property Owner
Claire “Beautiful property.”
Great location. Good mix of holiday rental and home from home.
- Claire, March 2024Susan “We had a lovely stay here, clean property with some lovely extra touches such as the welcome hamper, toy box, lots of books, tea and coffee, salt and pepper.”
It was well-equipped and child-friendly. The climbing frame in the garden was handy too. The house was in a great location, close to Newborough beach and the transport museum. Also, just 30 minutes drive to Llanberis in Snowdonia. We would recommend to others and be very happy to stay again
- Susan, February 2024Elspeth “We had to call the housekeeper about the dishwasher, the front door not locking, and also the heating.”
A few more mugs would have been better. A very pleasant house and environment to stay in.
- Elspeth, October 2023Heidi “What a lovely property!”
We had a wonderful 3-generation break here and felt really at home. The weather was not brilliant but the wood fire ensured a cosy stay. The house is well equipped and we had everything we needed and more! Thank you!
- Heidi, October 2023Sue “Loved our stay thank you.”
We especially loved the large private garden , super welcome basket, comfortable beds with quality cotton sheets. We were lucky to see red squirrel & rabbits in the garden. Property is off the road on quiet tranquil location, & has everything you could need.
- Sue, August 2023Paul “Our fourth stay.”
We appreciated the improvements that have taken place which made our stay as comfortable as ever. We had a wonderful time and although it rained, we managed to avoid getting wet. A couple of thoughts and observations. 1. The entrance to the en-suite shower in the master bedroom is quite narrow and awkward. 2. The base at the bottom of the cargo net is rotten and splintered and needs replacing. 3. The main bathhroom. I don't know if this being a wet room is ideal. Water went everywhere and it was slippy at times. Does it need a door on the shower to stop water coming out? These were niggles rather that major issues. We have booked to come again next year. We would be prepared too share the feedback but only the positives!
- Paul, August 2023Isabel “A beautiful, well equiped property.”
The garden and climbing frame were fantastic assets for tiring out our two year old grandson and the toybox an unexpected and much appreciated addition. The kitchen had all we needed in order to cater for ourselves (although a few extra mugs would have been useful). The only real issue was the shower in the main bathroom, which did not contain the water very well and tended to flood the floor if we weren't careful. However this was a minor problem and we all agreed that Ty Siam was the perfect setting for our family holiday. Thank you for a wonderful week.
- Isabel, June 2023Denise “This was our second visit to Ty Siam and we have already booked again for next year.”
The house and garden and amazing and perfect for our multi-generational holiday. Ingrid (the caretaker) is very helpful and quick to respond to any queries. Couldn’t fault it and we can’t wait to be back again.
- Denise, June 2023Ann “Perfect holiday home for a large family group.”
Very well equipped. Comfy beds, plenty of linen/towels. Children enjoyed the huge garden and the climbing frame, games, bean bags provided. Only one slight snag..the main bathroom shower did not have enough slope on the floor for drainage, hence bath mats got very wet. The newly fitted bathrooms are beautiful however. We won’t hesitate to return.
- Ann, May 2023Caroline “Property was beautiful, lots of space for everyone and had everything needed to enjoy our week away.”
The play area went down extremely well with the little one and was used every day. The garden and outdoor seating was perfect for lazy days. Fantastic place and a well enjoyed holiday.
- Caroline, May 2023Michelle “Beautiful property which is well maintained and a credit to the owners.”
My grandson loves the freedom of a large garden to run around in: We did have a problem with a couple of legs on the dining room chairs being loose but on contacting the caretaker she came round with an allen key to fix these. There was also a problem with ants around the kitchen window and worktops but guess this is only natural for this time of year, putting down some peppermint tea bags did help keep them mostly at bay.
- Michelle, May 2023Jeanette “A beautiful, spacious house, set in grounds away from the main road and with plenty of parking.”
The house was so warm, welcoming and comfortable. The housekeeper was very friendly when we spoke to her too, with a great sense of humour, making it feel like we were old friends when chatting. I would certainly advise people to ring if anything should be amiss when staying here. We discussed some minor matters that are in hand to be sorted. No need to add any negative comments here. We loved discovering the upgraded bathrooms - especially the wet room shower!! The new carpets in the bedroom areas were great too. The large porch area for coats and boots etc was perfect - saves bringing sand and soil into the house after exploring the local beaches . We will certainly be returning in the future - perfect house, perfect location. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
- Jeanette, March 2023Janine “Lovely well kept comfortable property.”
Very much home from home. Beautiful garden.
- Janine, September 2022Frank “Ty Siam is a brilliant cotrage has lots of space, a real family spot.”
Quite and away from traffic, but not far from shops, beach and entertainment. Had a brilliant time, just a shane it's probably our last visit
- Frank, August 2022Jane “This year it has been the fourth year visiting TY Siam.”
We all love it and it feels like a home not a holiday place to stay. They have updated the bathrooms this year and what amazing job they have done. We have booked again for next year. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home, everything is just amazing and we love it.
- Jane, August 2022Thank you, we always love to have positive feedback and we do our utmost to ensure the house is at a very high standard. We ourselves love the house and we try to make it a home away from home for ourselves and each and every guest. Property Owner
Cara “A beautiful property, which proved a perfect setting for a first holiday for 2 babies in the family.”
The house is lovely, with an excellent layout and is well-equipped . The garden is a great size, and the swing set proved a big hit. Very clean and a lovely quiet location. The welcome basket was the best I’ve seen and a lovely touch. I would not hesitate to recommend the house to others and fully expect we will be back ourselves.
- Cara, May 2022Leon “A fantastic property which was exactly as advertised.”
Great location and very clean and comfortable. The welcome basket was a lovely touch which we all appreciated, especially the delicious barra brith! We would definitely recommend the property and would also return ourselves.
- Leon, April 2022Dawn “The house is lovely.”
Great garden which is fantastic for the kids. Convenient location and a lovely setting. Great Master bedroom and comfy beds all round. Great welcome pack and would definitely stay again
- Dawn, September 2021Jane “Love going this was our 3rd visit and it doesn’t disappoint.”
Booked again for next year
- Jane, July 2021Michael “We loved every moment of our week stay at Ty Siam.”
The house is spacious and light and with luxurious interiors and the beds are super comfortable. The garden and patio space is big and the climbing frame is a great for kids. The location was perfect for us. It's quiet and secluded but only a 10 minute drive close to the beautiful Llanddwyn beach and forest, the riding centre and only a 45 minute drive to Llanberis, Snowdonia. We hope to return again soon and we'll be recommending Ty Siam to all our friends!
- Michael, June 2021David “Great place to stay, this is our second stay at TY Siam and we would not hesitate to book it again, spotlessly clean equipped with everything you would need and more.”
Very generous welcome pack, extremely comfortable beds and seating gorgeous garden brilliant, my grandson loved the indoor toys and the garden, all in all a fantastic holiday in a fantastic house and fantastic location.
- David, June 2021Frank “Another great time at Ty Siam, cannot recommend highly enough, such a fantastic ...”
Another great time at Ty Siam, cannot recommend highly enough, such a fantastic cottage, and in the ideal situation, we will be back in August, can't wait Brilliant
- Frank, May 2021Doreen “The space inside the accommodation and its design.”
Thoughtful touches - plenty of kitchen equipment - lovely log burner. Private garden area in sunny position with play equipment for exclusive use. Very happy with accommodation.
- Doreen, May 2021Tracey “My only criticism is that the booking did not make it clear that there were stairs to contend with inside the property, as my elderly mother has mobility issues this caused some upset to her when trying to maneuver from her bedroom to the bathroom and lounge.”
However I would still return and actually plan to with other members of my family, it is a beautiful property and one I would like to own when I move to Wales. Ideal place in a quiet, relaxing area, all modern and games, television, etc available to use. Thank you and I am glad I found it on the website.......PERFECT
- Tracey, October 2020David “Fantastic holiday home in a great location, very comfortable beds and seating, the wifi was also very good.”
We have been to Anglesey many times and this is the best equipped house we have ever stayed in. Visited many places all over the island, it was brilliant to get back to the house in the evening and just relax in beautiful surroundings in complete comfort, great place for large families with every age group catered for. The garden was large and well kept, all in all a great relaxing base to unwind in total peaceful quiet, we loved every minute, roll on next years visit.
- David, September 2020Frank “Had a really great time at Ty Siam, the place is fantastic, yes the floor to the porch is not finished, however it's still better thane the big step, which caught out some family members last year.”
The room is brilliant for a family, there are seven of us, but not once did we feel closed in. The location is also just right, out of the way, so you don't have passing traffic, or disruption. Close enough to tge Island amenities, so you can never be bored. The place is that good, I really don't want too many people to know about it
- Frank, August 2020Jane “Absolutely love our holiday at Ty Siam.”
The owners have made it warm and homely. The children love the toys and the outside space is amazing. My Mother is 93 and and really relaxed and enjoys the quiet and family time. Love the new porch. Thank you again this our second time and will be back next year
- Jane, August 2020Georgina “Lots of space.”
Very comfortable and well equipped. Great extras like toys for young children and climbing frame in the garden.
- Georgina, August 2019Steve “We loved the house and the welcome basket.”
The lights on the walls when going to the bedrooms are a really clever addition. The four bedrooms were all spacious and we all loved the extra doors to get in the garden.
- Steve, August 2019Emma “Fantastic accommodation - perfect for young children.”
The huge toybox in the lounge area kept our two year old busy every day and the swing outside kept her coming back for more. The cottage is in an ideal location with plenty of attractions and days out only a 30min drive away, not to mention Newborough beach is on your doorstep. Would highly recommend.
- Emma, June 2019Jasmina “It was our 4th time in Ty Siam and we will be coming back.”
Loved the house and loved the location.
- Jasmina, June 2019Frank “One of the best holidays ever The Cottage was fantastic, lots of room, plenty of personal space, location could not have been better, out in the countryside, but not to far from shops and restaurants.”
I could carry this on all day, it was that good. We would definitely go there again, an would whole heartedly recommend.
- Frank, May 2019Kathryn Kirkham “Everything we had hoped it would be from the description and photographs online.”
Well presented and very cosy with plenty of hot water .....not always the case in other properties we have stayed at! Location was excellent for exploring and walking. We would love to stay again. Only downside perhaps for others would be the few steps up and down from the main bathroom, especially at night, although (very thoughtfully) there were night lights.
- Kathryn Kirkham, Sep 2018Rosemary Viant “Home from home, very comfortable and well equipped Please than owners for letting us rent their lovely home.”
- Rosemary Viant, Aug 2018“This is a beautiful converted and spacious property in a glorious rural setting.”
Ty Siam has been converted, fitted out and furnished to a high standard. It is also well equipped with more than enough of everything for eight to use and that includes any youngsters in the group. The location works well for getting around the island and there are great beaches and walks within easy reach. We had to call the maintenance team one evening with a couple of issues which were dealt with before ten the following day. We would be happy to go back.
- , Jun 2018D Phoenix “Beautiful cottage in a lovely location.”
