“Estuary Cottage was glorious, far away from the madding crowd which was spot on for the 'crazy times' we are living through right now.”

We pretty much knew where the pitfalls would be from reading comments left by previous visitors and I can both agree and understand the comments left: (a) the lack of a freezer - I understand because it fits in with the extremely well laid out and equipped kitchen (neff no less so very reliable) but agree because it was lacking in space for even just the 2 of us meaning we made more shopping trips than we would have liked although we found Tesco, Waitrose and Hootons farm shop to be COVID 19 compliant. (b) satellite signal - the weather was pretty atrocious and the signal on 'Free-sat TV' went down on day 3 which meant we had to read, amuse ourselves and enjoy the surroundings - nothing wrong with that but just be prepared for it. We have no doubt we will be back in time ( God Willing) if only to check out the red squirrels (PS they adore hazelnuts (£3 a bag Tesco) and it's great fun watching them hiding them for the winter)! STAY SAFE EVERYONE

The property

We are delighted to be able to offer Estuary Cottage to our guests.

A converted barn, situated in the heart of the Lligwy estate, on the north east corner of Anglesey.

This really is an exquisite little holiday house with the most delightful views across open countryside towards the pretty Dulas Bay. The living area is open plan and encompasses the sitting, dining and kitchen areas. In the sitting area are luxurious fabrics and quality furnishings. There are comfortable chairs set around a wood burning stove. There’s a dining area to one side that has a round dining table and sits up to four people. The kitchen has all you need to make cooking easy - a dishwasher, washer/dryer, as well as a TV!

In the kitchen is a door that gives access to the patio area outside. The master bedroom is nice and big and offers gorgeous views of the estuary. This means you can bird watch from your bed!

There’s also a ground floor pretty twin bedroom. There is a loo/shower room adjacent to the twin room. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, loo, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.At the side of the holiday cottage is a patio area at the side of the house. There is also parking for two cars. This house is in the perfect location for exploring Anglesey's dramatic east coast.

It is a matter of minutes by car from Moelfre, a picture postcard coastal village, which remains one of Anglesey's best kept secrets. Also nearby is the coastal town of Benllech, a good stop-off point for supplies, with a fabulous Blue Flag beach! Within walking distance is a great local pub called The Pilot Boat Inn, and it is just a 10-minute drive (or 20-minute delightful walk) from Lligwy Beach or Traeth yr Ora, part of the Anglesey Coastal Path. What more could you ask for?
