“Lovely cottage in a rural setting.”

A wonderful outlook over fields! We had a wonderful Christmas period and New Years at the cottage and were greeted with a bottle of cava and some chocolate biscuits which was a nice surprise. The only thing that let the cottage down was the shower which didn’t work at all! Thankfully we had family on the island so could use their shower so we managed. However we didn’t contact the owners to inform them of the shower at the time as we felt it needed a new one altogether and didn’t want work ...

However we didn’t contact the owners to inform them of the shower at the time as we felt it needed a new one altogether and didn’t want work being carried out at the property during our stay. It was also quite chilly upstairs even with the heaters on but every bed had electric heated blankets which were a godsend! The weather was extremely wet and windy during our stay which may have been why it was cold? Overall a charming cottage with lots of character and the kitchen was fully stocked. If the shower is changed to a more modern one then we would definitely consider booking here again, although in the summer time ☺️.
