“Lovely comfortable clean holiday cottage set in the most amazing location.”

You can start your holiday from the door with the beach and walks from the doorstep. The view of the Bay changes daily with the tides bringing a new delight every morning when you look outside. From the ducks and chickens in the garden to the sea birds in the streams we were entertained by them all. We visited the whole island from here and walked many miles of the breath taking coastal paths, beaches, fen wetlands, forests,NT homes and gardens and pretty country lanes. Anglesey has it all ...

From the ducks and chickens in the garden to the sea birds in the streams we were entertained by them all. We visited the whole island from here and walked many miles of the breath taking coastal paths, beaches, fen wetlands, forests,NT homes and gardens and pretty country lanes. Anglesey has it all and deserves its status as an area of outstanding natural beauty and no more so than this little cottage in Pentreath Red Wharf Bay. It was a pleasure to come back to after each day out exploring. We were sad, but very grateful to say good bye to it at the end of a thoroughly enjoyable weeks holiday. Feeling totally relaxed and restored thanks to the hospitality of John and son James who made us most welcome. Highly recommend this cottage to singles, couples and small families Thank you John and James for your kindness and generosity during our stay. I’m am now a convert to duck eggs for breakfast Best wishes

RED WHARF BAY

Beaumaris 6.5 miles.

Along the northeast coast of Anglesey is the very large (4.5 mile-long) bay of Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name of Traeth Coch (Red Beach) rining true as the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow, and at low tide almost 10 square miles of sand is uncovered to provides safe bathing, perfect for family fun, fishing and miles of stunning, scenic walks. The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 3 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris, which boasts a 13th century moated castle, lovely buildings housing excellent shops, olde-worlde pubs, restaurants, bistros, museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips. This is a beautiful location on the east coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey.
