Tyn Towyn - Ty Glas

The property is excellent.

The set up is excellent. It is perfectly situated just out of town but easily walkable. It is sad to report this but it just wasn't cleaned to a decent standard. There was dust and cobwebs which were obviously old and the towels and linen had marks on them. The bathroom sink was not clean, the shower trap was blocked and hair was coming up as the tray filled while showering. This is the only thing that lets it down. Otherwise it was great.

Cottage was lovely to look at and it’s in a beautiful place.

Nice touch a basket left with mince pies and champagne Has all that you need except for a washing machine. Bad points no washing machine extremely uncomfortable beds so barely any sleep had also the cottage is cold even with the heating on and the electric fire doesn’t work. Had someone knocking on the door on Christmas Eve of all days tried to ignore it but they kept on knocking they said they needed to do something with the boiler why it couldn’t wait I don’t know. They went away and then came back and disturbed me again and was messing with the boiler again. Therefore ended up getting to the shops late and didn’t manage to get the things I needed for Christmas Day so no turkey dinner for us

Great cottage - very warm and comfortable in winter.

Ty Glas was very nicely equipped.

A nespresso pod coffee machine was much appreciated. The kitchen utensils were excellent. Dishwasher tablets were provided too. Two washing machines and two dryers were available in a laundry room. The sofa was comfy with enough room for two more visitors. We also enjoyed the barbecue. The location is walking distance to the beach I highly recommend the property.

The cottage was lovely and was clean.

It had two small bedrooms which had a lot of furniture in for the size of them. The plug sockets in the cottage made it easier to dry hair etc downstairs. The TV could do with an upgrade to a smart TV. We couldn’t get BBC1 or 2 either. Could do with a welcome folder with all information in e.g Wi-Fi, etc. would stay again as it is a lovely location.

The property we stayed in was lovely, comfortable and spacious and close to the beach.

Regarding cleanliness the extractor fan in the shower room was very dusty and the fire ( we didn't need to use this as it was July), was dusty too.

This is the second time we have stayed in this complex and our experience was better this time.

The property was a good size and broadly ok however some improvements would ahve shifted our score upwards. A number of im,provements would be: 1) Cleanliness should be 10/10 but it was a 6/10 with dust behind/under bed and grime in places that arent onbious unless you are staying at the property i.e behind bed lights/hairdryer was grim etc 2) Dishwasher didnt work and we only reported on leaving as we ate out most nights anyway. 3) front window into court yard was faulty so needs fixing again maybe go around the properties and check everything rather than relying on guests to do that or not! 4) Beds whilst comfortable have the cheapest pillows and no pillow covers or mattress toppers - yuk!! We brought our own pillows this time after experiencing that last year. Also we didnt bring a pet so would be nice to get a refund on that?

A brilliant accommodation everything you would want from a holiday apartment.

Shower water was too hot

The cottage was very nice.

It wasn't as clean as I thought it would. From what I understand now, the last occupant need to leave cottage as the found it. I cleaned it regularly because I have a dog. The mattresses protector was thin, and well worn. I bought my own. The feather duvet was too small for the bed. I think there should a anti allergy option. The hoover, a blue one, ithad a blocked filter. A bew one was available to use.

We have been to this complex before covid and found it to be clean and comfortable This time the cottage was full of dust I could write my name on the bathroom door no coat hangers in any wardrobe Someone else’s clothes left in the wardrobe We wouldn’t cook anything there as the Oven and oven trays were greasy and very off putting The pans were old and one was leaking The toaster was useless The whole place needed upgrading and some maintenance particularly around the shower which had dirty grout For the price you are charging we won’t be going back to those cottages Even the box for recycling left in the kitchen had bird poo inside Very hygienic In light of covid it puts doubt to how clean overall they are

Lovely cottage, centrally placed would stay again

I was disappointed that, for a cottage advertised as being for 4 guests, there were only 2 bath towels and hand towels.

It was a good job I had brought my own bathroom towels rolls and also some extra tea towel, toilet and washing up liquid which we had to use to wash our hands in the kitchen rather than having to go upstairs . The tiny bars or soap were only just enough for the two of us. Next time, I’ll make sure I take all my own supplies. There was dust on the bedding and bathroom floor.

Perfect location and only a short walk to the beach, a short drive to large supermarkets.

Area would have been Perfect if there were takeaway facilities (Chinese was only option within walking distance)

The cottage was as expected,perfect location,spotlessly clean and the whole complex was perfect.

Found everything to be spot on , cleanliness, comfort, kitchen utensils and crockery.

The accommodation is ideally situated , within walking distance of the beach , shops restaurants and pub. The only problem we had because of being a certain age, (we are gas users,) was the electric hob and cooker, we had to google how to operate it. A few instructions on operating it would be helpful.

this was our first visit to angelsey and our first with sykes cottages.

the description provided couldn't have been more accurate but in real life the cottage was warm comfortable and very well equipped. we were able to eat in in safety with everything you needed in the kitchen to make it like home. it was peaceful but near enough to the bay and facilities down there. i will most certainly book with you again and would recommend tyn towyn to anybody

Our 3rd visit to Tyn Towyn cottages.

A perfect base for exploring the area. Comfy, quiet, good parking provision and ideal for a short stroll to the beach. A few small signs of wear and tear showing on our most recent visit - broken soap tray in the shower, couple of marks on cushions, walls and the breakfast bar/table, bobbly pillowcases, one of the breakfast bar stools slowly lowered itself whilst being sat on (amusing) - presume the height adjuster has stopped working, missing sieve/strainer in the kitchen. All minor little things and nothing that really affects the holiday experience. We hope to return next year!

High Standard property in a good location

Very clean, comfortable chair and sofa.

Welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, butter, milk, and orange juice. Well equipped kitchen. Really nice grassed area at the back of the cottages with table and chairs to sit outside if the weather is good. Local Spar and village store close by, Tesco and Morrisons a five minute drive away (heading in the direction of Holyhead). Lovely beach a short walk from the cottage. Also lovely beach at Church Bay with a really nice family run cafe serving good food. Nowhere is far to travel.

The cottage is very conveniently situated for local amenities (i.

e. the pub!) and as a base for exploration of the island of Anglesey. Been to Anglesey every year since 1975, and Ty Glas is by far the best accommodation we have had. As stated above the cottage really is a home-from-home. We intend to book again for 2017.
