    You've got an amazing house, it's in really good condition and is so much more comfortable than most modern buildings. It's a brilliant backdrop to holiday photos and the generous size of the rooms means that even with a full house, it never feels like guests are crowding each other.

The house is adorned with character, from extraordinary oak beams, original oak doors, stone fireplaces, butchers’ rails and woodburning stoves, Y Fferm is a dog-friendly choice for a group or family of nine looking to add a wealth of character to their North Wales escape.

Follow the cobbled path up to the porch area, where you can discard any coats and boots after your journey.

Be welcomed into the large living/dining room, where you can look forward to relaxing on the plush sofas as you recount the days adventures in front of the crackling woodburning stove.

Move through to the fully-equipped kitchen, featuring a beautiful wooodburning stove for cooler evenings, where the chef of the group will have all they need to create a delicious feast, ready to enjoy at the dining table over bottles of celebratory fizz to toast to your unique setting.

On warmer days, why not dine alfresco out in the vast gardens, where you can soak up the sunshine and appreciate the stunning countryside views as your canine companions run and play?

Completing the ground floor is a study, where those who want to check in on work can do so thanks to the super-fast WiFi.

Make your way up to the first floor, where you can unwind with a soak in the gorgeous freestanding bath, or freshen up in the large walk-in shower, perfect after a day of exploring your surroundings.

On this floor, you will find three character-filled rooms, a king-size, a family room with king-size and single, and a child’s bunk, all with traditional wooden flooring, feature fireplaces and exposed beams at every turn.

Continue up to the second floor, where you will find an additional sitting room in the eaves with a Smart TV and more character with exposed stone walls and scribings on the beams.

Also, on this floor, you will find the fourth and final bedroom, a spacious double, echoing the character features of the other bedrooms.

Y Fferm is located near the local amenities in the village of Pontblyddyn; to help ease your self-catered stay, you could also head for a tasty meal at the local pub, The Bridge Inn.

The village also boasts Plas Teg, a Grade I listed building and the most haunted house in Wales.

Be sure to check out the Pontblyddyn Cricket Ground, where you can watch a game from the premier league club.

You could also visit Wrexham, home to an array of bars and restaurants, including the Fat Boar or tour the 12,000-acre ground of the 18th century National Trust property Erddig.

The Barn Temple is a community wellness space that opened in October 2023, a place open to everyone, with the aim of creating healing for all.

Pontblyddyn is a small, quaint village resting near Leeswood, between Mold and Wrexham. The village famous for Plas Teg, one of the most important Jacobean-era houses in Wales; this Grade I-listed building was built in 1610 and is considered one of the most haunted houses in Wales. The village also boasts a local pub, The Bridge Inn which serves delicious food, ideal for the nights you don’t fancy cooking, and a local convenience store to stock up on essentials. With the Clwyd mountains on your doorstep and the quiet that Pontblyddyn has to offer, the village offers an idyllic retreat to North Wales, as well as a great base for touring the Snowdonia region and Chester. The historic town of Mold is within easy reach of the village, home to Mold Castle and a variety of cafés, restaurants and bars including The Fat Boar and the Queens Head Inn.
