“This was my first stay in a shepherds hut, and this didn’t disappoint.”

Hayley communicated promptly and made sure I had a supply of bottled water. Having the three buildings was lovely, giving me the opportunity to move around. The set up is located in a very pretty garden, bordering onto a paddock and stable, with resident Shetland pony. There was plenty of space for my dog to explore (be aware that if you have a small dog, the fencing isn’t secure, so your dog needs good recall) The bathroom building is spotless and the shower has amazing water pressure. The mini kitchen has an air fryer and microwave and a fridge. There is also a BBQ and a fire pit, with fuel provided. Given we were in the middle of a heatwave I didn’t need these, or to use the wood burning stove in the shepherds hut. It was the most tranquil place, with amazing birdsong, and a local cuckoo. I happily sat in the garden chairs watching the birds flying around, singing.
