Set between Abergele and Conwy in a lush Snowdonia valley, the double yurts, informal barn-style spaces and private gardens all revolve around views of the surrounding mountains and evenings spent around the fire pit. Inside, the emphasis is on sharing.

One generous family room houses three king-size beds and a woodburning stove, creating a snug hub where everyone can gather after a day outside.

The second family room features a king-size and a single bed, giving a little extra flexibility for mixed groups or extended family.

There is also an additional sofa bed for two for any unexpected guests.

Those keen on an outdoor experience can make the most of the distinctive outdoor shower, while an indoor shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC stands ready for those who prefer a more sheltered start to the day. Meals come together in the practical kitchen/diner, warmed by a second woodburning stove, where you can prepare simple feasts before sitting down together to eat and chat about tomorrow’s adventures.

Open the space out to the private gardens, use the patio furniture for al fresco breakfasts or late-night drinks, or cook up a storm with the fire pit and barbecue while you soak up the changing light over the nearby hillsides. Out and about, the North Wales coast is close at hand, offering beaches, sea views and the chance to visit historic castles and local attractions.

Abergele and Conwy make easy destinations for stocking up on supplies, enjoying a meal or joining walking routes.

Further exploration across Snowdonia, as well as day trips to Portmeirion and Anglesey, reveals more of North Wales’ varied landscapes and coastal scenery.

All the while, Yurts, barn and fire pit in a Snowdonia valley remains a reliable base for a laid-back group break.
