The property

Bwthyn Bach is an inviting single-storey cottage resting in Pentrefelin, Gwynedd, with far-reaching rural views, a private hot tub and parking for one car.

Set within Eisteddfa Country Estate and created for couples travelling with a four-legged companion, it brings together coast, countryside and characterful living. Enter the open-plan interior and discover a sociable space shaped around the rhythm of a holiday.

The kitchen is ready for everything from an early breakfast to an evening meal, with the dining area close by for sharing food while tomorrow’s route takes shape.

As dusk settles over the estate, add a log to the woodburning stove and enjoy the flicker of firelight while watching a film on the Smart TV. Beyond the living space, the double bedroom adjoins an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower.

Outside, the garden becomes part of each day.

Take coffee onto the patio, spread out on the lawn with your pet, prepare supper on the barbecue, or sink into the hot tub while woodland, lakes and sea form the backdrop. Pentrefelin places nature within easy reach, with a nearby lake for waterside outings and fishing available on the estate, while the beach offers the chance to follow the shoreline together.

Make for Criccieth, where Castell Cricieth crowns its coastal headland and provides a striking focus for a day beside the sea.

Pwllheli offers further coastal exploration, including Marine Beach, while Abersoch presents another appealing destination along the Gwynedd shoreline.

Turn inland towards Eryri for mountain scenery, outdoor adventures and drives through a dramatic Welsh landscape.

Back at the estate, reflect on its connections to Lady Olwen Carey-Evans and artist Kyffin Williams before ending the evening outdoors or beside the stove.

Let the scenery shape your escape at Bwthyn Bach.
