“A review about our time at Fro Awel.”
Pros - Fro Awel is positioned right in the middle of Dolgellau village, near to all amenities (Shops, Pubs Restaurants etc).
It's always difficult to find parking in Dolgellau but this cottage solves that problem with it's own parking spot for at least 2 cars which is definitely a bonus.

Cons - The front door Yale lock needs sorting as it is hard to open the door from the inside or from outside using the key as the complete lock rotates leaving you with a feeling of not being able to get back in again once it's locked or a feeling that you haven't locked the door properly
Now the darker nights are approaching some lighting (solar etc) around the Garden seating area and the garden as a whole might be advisable as there are many tripping hazards. Also it might be nice to see who you are sat with as it does get quite dark out there. We were there early September.
There is only one Toilet that is quite low down and could be an issue with infirm people. As "The Cottage" caters for 6 people not sure how they all manage there must be queue along the landing.
The lighting of the cottage is quite dim and maybe the dining area could do with brighter lights, perhaps spotlights much like in the kitchen.
All in all we had a nice time visiting Dolgellau and Fro Awel and perhaps with changing a few minor niggles that could be improved easily would make it a great holiday experience.
