This traditional Welsh village stands directly on the edge of the southern part of the Snowdonia National Park. Situated on the banks of the River Dulas and overlooking the wooded slopes of the Dovey Forest, this old slate quarrying village is perfect for mountain biking enthusiasts. The village has a pub and is directly opposite the well-known mountain biking Cli-machX run, as well as the famous Coed-y-Brenin Mountain Bike Centre being nearby. The village also offers the historic Corris narrow gauge railway, an excellent craft centre, the Corris slate mining Explorer’s centre and the exciting King Arthur’s Labyrinth Underground Experience, along with interesting local walks that abound. Discover Cadair Idris, the second highest mountain in Wales, dine or swim at Tal-y-llyn lake, or explore Castell y Bere which is settled amongst picture-perfect rolling green fields.
