“We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property, set in a charming village.”

The cottage is warm, welcoming and thoughtfully presented, with plenty of character that immediately makes you feel at home. The modern kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, providing everything needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage is warm, welcoming and thoughtfully presented, with plenty of character that immediately makes you feel at home. The modern kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, providing everything needed for a comfortable stay. The welcome touches were much appreciated, particularly the fresh milk waiting in the fridge on arrival. There is also a well stocked convenience store just around the corner, making it easy to pick up any essentials. The comprehensive welcome pack is excellent. It includes clear instructions for all the appliances, along with useful local recommendations and suggestions, making it easy to settle in and make the most of the area. The bedrooms were very comfortable, the bathrooms were well appointed, and the sofas provided the perfect place to relax after a day out. The Smart TV was another welcome addition, allowing us to unwind in the evenings and enjoy our favourite programmes. The local pub is well worth a visit, serving excellent food and a great selection of beers, and it is dog friendly, which was an added bonus. It is clear that a great deal of thought, care and attention has gone into creating this cottage. It is an exceptionally comfortable and well equipped place to stay, and we would not hesitate to recommend it.

“We booked this cottage last minute for a short 3 night break and what a lucky find.”

The location was absolutely perfect. It is such a stunning area and so much to do and this was the perfect base to explore it all from. The cottage itself is very cosy, spotless clean on arrival and we loved the way it was decorated. It had everything you would need and we enjoyed the lovely welcome gift left for us too. We would definitely return and recommend this to others.

“This beautiful little cottage nestles in the gorgeous village of Llanbedr.”

It's a great place to base yourselves for short trip days out or further afield if you don't mind a drive. Snowdonia as an area is stunning and wonderous. The cottage is equipped with a very modern kitchen and a cosy front room with a log burner. The underfloor heating meant that returning from our days out the cottage was already toasty warm. Our host, Pete was so helpful with before and during our stay, giving me information not only about the cottage but also about the local area and recommendations based on my questions. If you want a break in Snowdonia then if the size suits your needs then Y Bwthyn is well worth your consideration.

“Y Bwythn is a well appointed little cottage in the heart of Llanbedr.”

It's in a quiet location, with roadside parking. The cottage was as clean as a new pin, and felt very secure. The owners had provided dog biscuits, which was an unexpected treat and much appreciated by Max. The heat pump is maybe not as efficient as it could be, but there is a log burner and oil filled radiators to supplement if necessary. We didn't freeze by any means!

“Beautiful cosy cottage in an excellent location for accessing a number of beaches and attractive villages.”

The cottage was furnished to a high quality with attention to detail, providing lots of extras that dont normally come with self catering cottages to enable you to cook as if at home. A lovely secure garden for the dog and for sitting out and dining in the sunshine chilling. We visit North Wales 3 times a year and this is the best equipped cottage we have stayed in as also a brilliant location. The beds were super comfy and we all had a relaxing weeks break even the dog was sad to go home and will definitely return here.

“Perfect cosy cottage with everything you could think of , a real home from home !”

ah the welcome pack of milk ,tea and Welsh cakes with butter and honey jam were a nice surprise. The owner’s attention to detail is exemplary and would highly recommend , with a local village shop less than 100 metres away , 7 till late everyday , village pub with great food over the bridge what more do you need with walks in every direction . “The cottage is lovely and clean and well maintained and has all the facilities needed to self cater if desired.”

It is in a cracking position in the village of Llanbedr near to all amenities and pubs etc. However, there is a price to pay for this accessibility in terms of parking. There is parking on the road opposite the cottage on a first come, first served basis and usually you can get in somewhere along that road but not always. This can be problematic when arriving with all your luggage and shopping so just be prepared. There is a train station and also a campsite further down this road, which creates a lot of traffic in peak periods when they arrive and depart or are going out for the day. Again, it is something that can be worked around and did not detract from our very pleasant stay. The cottage is very well equipped as described in the listing and we wanted for nothing during our stay. Getting out to all the various seaside locations and local villages is easy with nothing being too far away for a day trip - we enjoyed several great days out. The garden is a bonus in the good weather and allows you to eat outside ‘al fresco’ which we did a couple of times. At night the village is quiet and you get a peaceful nights sleep in both the bedrooms. I would recommend the cottage for a good all round self catering holiday in a lovely friendly village with a couple of great pubs and the super local shop, which really does stock everything!!

“Beautiful park of the country .”

“A truly beautiful cottage in a wonderful setting.”

The cottage was 5 star. It was nicely decorated with modern underfloor heating and 2 great sized bedrooms both with ensuite facilities. The garden was perfect for the dog, lovely and sunny even during early spring. The setting was beautiful. 3 pubs close by. Great transport links if you want to get about without the car. You open the front door to the sound of the river rushing along outside, and the shop and pubs in the village were very convenient. We loved being cosy round the wood fire in the evenings. Kitchen had everything we needed. We had a really lovely stay here and would definitely recommend!

The property

This wonderful end-terrace cottage is situated in the centre of the village of Llanbedr, opposite the River Artro, close to both Harlech and Barmouth in the Snowdonia National Park.

Ideal for a couple, small family or three friends, this delightful holiday home is an ideal base with many places to visit nearby.

After parking up, you enter this lovely cottage into an inviting sitting room with a warming woodburning stove and then onto a light and airy kitchen/diner, equipped with all you could need for a memorable self-catering stay.

From here are patio doors out onto a raised garden with AstroTurf and slate patio area.

Up on the first floor are two charming bedrooms, a double and a twin, both of which have access to their own contemporary en-suites, one with bath and shower over, and the other with a shower.

The village of Llanbedr has shops and two pubs, as well as offering bike hire, mountain walks and it’s also situated next to the dunes of a nature reserve and so a variety of wildlife can be seen.

Just three miles away is the town of Harlech, which is well worth a visit with its wonderful castle and golf course, and both the resorts of Barmouth and Fairbourne are within reach.

Travelling the other way will take you to Italianate village of Portmeirion, and the whole of the National Park can be explored with many walking and cycling routes, as well as venturing to the top of Mount Snowdon.

The pretty village of Llanbedr quietly nestles in ancient woodland between The Rhinogs, part of the Snowdonia Mountains, and the stunning golden beaches of the North Wales coastline. Situated next to the beautiful River Artro, and boasting a mild climate due to its unusual positioning behind the high dunes of a nature reserve, this charming village has an exciting array of wildlife and birds, handy local shops, bike hire and mountain walks on your doorstep, as well as two excellent pubs. The small town of Harlech is just 3 miles away and boasts the World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle, a majestic 13th century stronghold, the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I. Popular with golfers due to its famous Royal St. David's course, Harlech also boasts an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants and the most magnificent six-mile long sandy beach, perfect for wonderful walks and family fun. Nearby Barmouth offers the amazing Panorama Walk along the beautiful Mawddach Estuary, providing breathtaking vistas, which were described by John Ruskin as “the most sublime view in Europe” and also a harbour from which you can catch a ferry to Fairbourne for a ride on the miniature railway, or a boat trip out to sea to try mackerel fishing. The property can accept one medium size or two small size well behaved dogs. We do request that pets are kept off furniture and upstairs areas please to keep the property in good order for all guests. There is a retractable stair gate that guests are welcome to use
