The 7 children in our group loved careering around the grounds on bikes and going down to the nearby river with paddle boards and for general messing about. The accommodation suited our group of 8 adults, 2 dogs and 7 children very well. Good areas in kitchen and outside for eating and plenty of space in the lounge and conservatory areas for socialising. It was a good base for cycle routes, climbing Tryfan and other adventures activities. Several of us had a good day out on the Fairbourne steam railway to the estuary, ferry across, day in Barmouth and then the mainline train back. Comfortable beds, although the pillows were felt to be a little over-filled! The only maintenance problem that we encountered was dealt with very promptly.
We would thoroughly recommend Tan Llan, not only for the house itself but the grounds, immediately-surrounding area and the wider area for things to do.
