We came to Llechwedd last year and, deciding quite late that we’d like an August holiday, were delighted that Llechwedd was still available for our dates this year. I looked no further for alternative accommodation as we had had a very positive experience last year. This is a very well maintained and equipped property. It is spacious and comfortable in most aspects. Guests have commented on the low seating in the lounge and, for some guests, this may be a problem. The steep drive is often commented on too, but it shouldn’t be a problem for most vehicles. There are far more positive features than negative. The property is close enough to walk to Dolgellau’s centre or to the estuary for walks or cycle rides. There are several places of interest or entertainment within a short car journey. The owners have taken great care to establish a holiday home offering its guests a great base from which to explore the area. The information booklet is in need of updating, perhaps in a slightly larger text and some important details are missing. For example, it tells you the day of refuse and recycling collections, but not where to take bins to be collected. We know the area quite well, but the flyers included were, for the most part, out of date. This is a minor negative comment. I would have no hesitation in recommending Llechwedd to other families.
