    “Tyn Y Coed is in a wonderful location just tucked behind the shops on the main street along a really quaint little alley way.”

    The outside space is small but beautiful! Inside the cottage is compact. We stayed as a family of 3 with a small dog and found it snug. The place had been hoovered but only where you could see, anything we had to move showed the bits that were missed. The ground floor had the kitchen and sitting room which had a damp smell so we always sat in the middle floor sitting room and the floor down there didn't feel or look the cleanest. The beds were clean and comfy and the shower room was clean too ...

The beds were clean and comfy and the shower room was clean too. The top floor bedroom and bathroom are stunning. The cottage really needs a welcome pack with instructions in - we found the TV and the hob tricky to work out, got there in the end but wasn't the easiest. The stairs are quite steep for elderly and little ones (and miniature dachshunds we found out!) Others have mentioned the bins and not being able to find it but it's the one with Ian written on the top! The owner was very helpful when we found the heating was on full blast when we arrived and we were roasting! Irs a wonderful base for exploring Barmouth despite the niggles we had.

Tyn Y Coed Cottage is a traditional abode situated in heart of the seaside town of Barmouth, Gwynedd.

Just a short walk from the high street and a little further to the beach, Tyn Y Coed Cottage is well-placed for accessing the best of Barmouth, perfect for a family getaway.

Step into lounge, offering quirky features, an exposed stone wall and a woodburning stove, this is a lovely space to unwind after a long day.

Continue through to the kitchen/diner, where you can conjure up hearty meals assisted by a range of appliances, before serving up the fruits of your labour at the dining table.

Venture upstairs to find the second sitting room, this one benefitting from a sofa bed and a Smart TV, perfect for a movie marathon.

Discover the first bedroom on this floor, offering a double bed, serviced by a gleaming shower room.

Continue to the second floor to find the king-size bedroom, lavishly presented with boutique furnishings and an en-suite with freestanding bath.

Wander into the town centre of Barmouth to find a wonderful selection of pubs and restaurants, ideal for when you fancy a night away from the kitchen, plus there are several shops for picking up fresh ingredients.

Remember to pack your seaside essentials as Traeth Llyfn Beach is just over half a mile away and offers a beautiful stretch of sand, while Benar Beach is a little further along but equally as stunning.

Lace up your walking boots and explore the rugged terrains of Precipice Walk, The Mawddach Trail and Coed Y Brenin Forest Park, or head further afield and discover the magnificent Snowdonia National Park, providing further opportunity.
