“We have stayed in Aran multiple times and keep coming back.”

Beddgelert is a very special place and Aran is the perfect base to enjoy all the village has to offer. The cottage is clean, comfortable and has everything you might need plus a lot of extras that make the holiday extra special. We always sleep so well and if you get the weather, sitting outside to eat is fab. I love to sit in the front garden and watch the world go by, then get out and about to enjoy the amazing scenery.

“We had previously stayed in Aran cottage for many years under the previous owners.”

When they sold Coed Gelert, we had to stay elsewhere but this year, we were able to return. The cottage has been refurbished to a high standard and was very clean. We particularly liked the work done in the bathroom, ensuite and kitchen where everything worked well. It’s a small point but all the clocks were working and correct - that shows care. The location of the cottage in the village is excellent – just minutes’ walk from the centre and the shops, and from the bus stops and Welsh Highland Railway station.

“Lovely spot, great owners, comfy beds, nice accommodation.”

It is hard to think of any room for improvement for this place, if I had to say something I’d say: 1. Parking is tight for large cars (eg large family estates or Range Rovers), but if you have a word with the owners they’d give you a more “accessible” parking space if they can. 2. We got a bit of road noise in the front bedroom, which woke me up one night. Another house said owls woke them up. We are light sleepers, so probably should manage that better. If this was my house I’d put new windows or secondary glazing in the bedrooms.

“What a wonderful experience.”

I literally can't think of anything negative to write and I think I can say with confidence it is the cleanest property I have ever stayed in. To begin with, the hosts were helpful and friendly with any questions I had before our stay. The home is in a perfect location, right in the centre of Beddgelert, with safe off road parking at the rear of the property. The home is welcoming, comfortable and everything in here is lovely quality, from top to bottom. There are clear and simple instructions about how things work, and the books with many walks and information about the area were so useful. The beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms spotless and the water was warm whenever we needed for baths and showers. I would definitely stay again without hesitation at all and fully recommend this home to anyone who wishes to have a wonderful home to stay in.

“Lovely clean, comfortable cottage.”

We stayed for 7 nights, a family of 4, everything we needed for our stay was supplied. Gorgeous views all around and a great location close to all local amenities. If you’re looking to climb Yr Wyddfa, there’s a bus stop right opposite the cottage and a short 30 min ride takes you to Pen-y-Pass! We did have an emergency whilst staying and the owners were very quick to respond and resolve our situation. Would highly recommend.

Very clean and tidy. Beds we’re so comfortable, with amazing views from your bedroom window. Everything that you needed for a short break was provided, even down to hand soap and washing up liquid. The cottage was exactly as described in the listing.

The picturesque village of Beddgelert lies in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park at the foot of Mount Snowdon. Beddgelert is a bustling village with arts and craft shops, tea rooms, welcoming pubs, including Saracens Head and the Royal Goat, and restaurants, centred around the Afon Glaslyn river. A leisurely stroll along the river will take you to the Aberglaslyn Pass, one of North Wales’s most famous beauty spots. The Welsh Highland Steam Railway passes through the village on its journey from Porthmadog to Caernarfon.
