“We had a lovely stay in Benllech and visited the local beaches and that was the best thing about it.”

The rental had a few issues with a mould on the shower tiles and curtains stained so we cleaned them and the shower head upstairs was leaking, the doorplate going into the kitchen from the hall was loose and a trip hazzard, the downstairs kitchen and shower room smelt really bad when we arrived so we bleached the floor, to later find out the shower its self was leaking onto the floor, this is our second stay with sykes and all id say is you have some beautiful properties but i feel you should be ...

The rental had a few issues with a mould on the shower tiles and curtains stained so we cleaned them and the shower head upstairs was leaking, the doorplate going into the kitchen from the hall was loose and a trip hazzard, the downstairs kitchen and shower room smelt really bad when we arrived so we bleached the floor, to later find out the shower its self was leaking onto the floor, this is our second stay with sykes and all id say is you have some beautiful properties but i feel you should be on top of these issues like mould and leaks, i could list more petty things like decor, and food under settees should be cleaned before the next person, the final thing was we wasnt offered (like last year) after the first week a cleaner to come in, the year before we was told it was a service that is offered when someone is there for longer than a week. This is not me moaning its only a suggestion as your properties are so nice, its just these small details that let them both down for such lovely areas and buildings they are. Would i stay again maybe.

We are really sorry that The Nook was not cleaned as well as we would expect. We have spoken to the cleaners who usually do an excellent job, please see the comment above which said The Nook was spotless. We ae pleased that despite your concerns that you would consider staying at The Nook again. There is not excuse for food under that settees and we can only apologize again, as that is not the standard of cleaning that we expect. Property Owner

The property

This delightful, detached property, enjoying sea views from several rooms and the front and back gardens is just a short walk to the beach, rests in the village of Benllech on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey.

The Nook is a lovely North Wales holiday home offering six guests a fabulous beach base from which to explore Anglesey’s gorgeous coastline.

The property boasts a contemporary fitted kitchen with a breakfast area, a homely sitting room with a coal fire and a separate dining room with sea views from the window for dinner with a view.

This room overlooks the private, enclosed garden, and provides a lovely spot for reading or planning the holiday’s activities, whilst the pretty garden has a patio with furniture, great for alfresco dining and a lawn for your canine companions to stretch out on.

Completing the ground floor is a shower room, while up on the first floor there is a bathroom boasting a corner bath, ideal for a relaxing and roomy soak.

Settle down in one of three charming bedrooms, comprising a king-size, a double and a twin, offering a layout to suit various groups from families to friends alike.

The cottage is wonderful for families as it’s close to Benllech’s long beach with fine golden sand and clear blue waters, perfect for paddling and safe bathing on a summer day.

Take advantage of the tennis and basketball courts that rest opposite the property, as well as the bowling green, and enjoy some fun activities, or bring the kids to the amusement arcades for plenty of entertainment!

Enjoy walks along the coast visiting nearby beaches at Moelfre and Red Wharf Bay, while the town of Beaumaris a little further south is home to a wealth of history to discover at Beaumaris Castle, Beaumaris Gaol and The Old Court Museum, not to mention the fun-filled sea safaris leaving from the harbour to take you to Puffin Island where you might even spot some seals.

With Bangor, Caernarfon and Eryri (Snowdonia) and the Llyn Peninsula only a short distance further onto the mainland, this is a superb cottage base, all year round.

Enjoy a lovely holiday to Anglesey at The Nook.
