Tyn Y Ffynnon

Lovely bungalow, well kept, spacious and clean.

All modern amenities, and very close to centre of the village, while high enough away from the road to ensure peace and quiet. All round excellent.

Whilst the bed was comfortable the bedding was much to be desired crumpled sheet never seen an iron that was far to big for bed most uncomfortable and a duvet cover with big hole in it.

No toilet rolls left and if this was going to be the case we should have been told, it was a job fing some on a Sunday evening.

We stayed in this beautiful cottage for 7 nights in July.

Our first impression was how big it was. It was nicely decorated and very clean on our arrival. It's in a very good location. The path is a bit steep if you have trouble walking but it is manageable. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

The cottage is excellent.

Discreetly elevated from the road, private parking, much larger in real life, clean and well appointed. Slept really well, and thoroughly enjoyed the week. A short stroll to an excellent bakery and y stableau pub has great outdoor facilities, even in the wet weather. Would recommend this cottage to friends or family.

We loved our stay here an The cottage has a fantastic location and being able to park so centrally in Betwys Y Coed is a bonus.

Lovely clean and modern kitchen and bathrooms but still retaining the cottage's character. We stayed with our two children (10 & 13) who loved being able to just walk everywhere and play in the river. Betwys can get busy but still has a nice relaxed feel and with good range of places to eat and drink that are family friendly. Highly recommend.

The property was perfectly situated and adequately equipped.

We felt it could have done with a little “love”/“care” with just a few simple touches to make it more welcoming. Such as a duvet cover without a tear in it, some new, non rusty pans for use with the oven and a small welcome package including a few tea bags and some milk for people that have travelled a long way. It is not unusual to find these things in holiday cottages in the price range and reading the visitor book it seems that some people got welcomed with Welsh cakes etc. all we had was a grubby, empty coffee jar and two old looking teabags that presumably had been left by previous guests. Otherwise thank you for a comfortable stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and weather was kind to us. Lovely walking right from the front door. Only minor point of note is the access to parking area can be tight for larger vehicles. Other than that……. Awesome week

The property was ideal for us and in a great location.

We can't fault it. It has a new modern bathroom and ensuite which aren't shown in the images for the property. Both are very good. The heating is very efficient, and there was always hot water. There is a rotary washing line which was useful, and we had our own pegs. Sitting outside at the table and chairs was most enjoyable because we had stunning weather the whole time we were there. We appreciated the bottle of milk and Welsh cakes on arrival. The owner was easy to get hold of if we had a question. We recommend staying at this property.

Very nice, well equipped cottage in an ideal location, fair price.

We had a great stay, we hal breakfast al fresco every morning. Two very small thigs: as they only sell big boxes, some washingmachine and dishwashermachine pods would be nice

We had trouble getting the key box open we had to call for help.

The instructions on getting the key were not clear enough. Very queaky doors to bedrooms and on suit bathroom.

Roomy clean lovely view perfect location for walking shopping steam trains gardens etc etc

The cottage is clean, comfortable and warm plus it had everything we needed.

It is also spacious and equipped with helpful information and games etc The owner was very helpful and informative. The cottage is situated in a very central position for all that Betwsy -y -Coed has to offer. there is a wide choice of eating places and shops (no chemist or bank) and many super walks. Very central for visiting all that Snowdonia has to offer.

This was an excellant holiday stay.

I have stayed in Betws-y-coed before, but this was the most relaxed way to do it !

Had a very enjoyable stay at the cottage, it was very comfortable and well equipped kitchen, lovely en-suite with plenty of hot water It was in a central position to all the activities we wanted to do.

However a couple of issues we found was that hand towels hadn’t been supplied in the twin bedded room and we found lots of long dark hairs on the back of a pillow and on the floors, the wardrobe floor in the main bedroom was quite dirty with dust. The outside areas at the side and back are getting very overgrown as is the path to the main road. The table and chairs are too dirty to actually sit on. I do hope these things can be addressed because we did generally have a lovely stay.

It was a lovely welcoming cottage, very comfortable and Ideally situated in the village.

Would of been useful to have a hairdryer there but that is the only fault if that's what you call it.

Lovely cottage , a great place to come back to after the days activities.

Location absolutely spot on for shops, ,pubs, Snowden approx 20 minutes away and many other attractions within easy reach. We will book again .

Well maintained. Well located for local facilities and great walks from the cottage. We had a great stay.

The cottage was spotless and beautiful.

It's in a great location and we had a lovely holiday, thank you. However, the listing mentioned bike storage and this was one of the reasons we chose this cottage. But the shed referred to is now full of logs and so there wasn't anywhere to store bikes. This needs to be amended in the description so others don't have the issue we had. But everything else was perfect!

Great spot for exploring north Wales, especially Anglesey

A well-equipped cottage.

The turn-out from the drive onto the A5 is a bit hair-raising, but there's nothing that can be done about that.

Fantastic cottage, our third stay, off of the main road so no vehicle noise, close to the town centre so easy access to everything.

Highly recommended.

Overall a very pleasant stay in a great location!

The internet was quite hit and miss and the shower pressure in the bathroom with bath was poor. It would have been nice if we had some washing up liquid/dishwasher tablets provided and also bin bags - had to purchase these cleaning products unfortunately. Equipment, comfort and location were all spot on and I would recommend this cottage for a lovely stay in Betws y coed.

My second stay at Tyn y Ffynnon and every bit as enjoyable as the first !

Could do with identifying access to the parking space or provide directions.

Lovely cottage, very comfy and cosy!

The only thing I would say is that I think there may be either birds or a mouse or something in the loft as we could hear a lot of movement up there. Apart from that it was a beautiful stay

Lovely little bungalow, clean and well equipped.

Heating in each room was a little inconsistent so took some getting used to. The bathroom light didn’t work when we arrived but was quickly rectified the next day. Very steep driveway and dangerous bend to pull out on so I wouldn’t recommend if you plan to stay alone. Might be good to mention on description. TV connection was terrible and kept cutting off and not reconnecting. Really beautiful bungalow and really well presented, just a couple of small things that would have made it absolutely perfect.

Amazing location, lovely cottage, clean, homely and has had a kitchen upgrade and new double glazing since the photos were taken.

Was really warm in a wet New Year and sadly didn't need to use the wood burner. The kitchen was really well stocked, as we did a New Year roast dinner and a great size fridge/freezer. Definitely would like return.

Lovely cottage in a lovely setting, and we had a great time.

The garden was nice and secluded to sit in (weather permitting) and the apple tree was a nice bonus at this time of year. Our kids now want to live there! Minor issues: The internet connection was rather flaky - intermittently very slow and dropping connections - I suggest you ask Plusnet to do a line test. Also, just personal preference, the memory foam mattress was rather soft and uncomfortable.

Great base to explore North Wales. Property was tricky to find at first. Some detailed instructions would have helped. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic cottage, was a joy, good off road parking, have rebooked for November.

Only gripe was that some builders turned up at 8am on our last day to do some work !!! Fortunately we were up and about.. apart from that fantastic.

It would benefit the rental if you could describe the parking area.

It was in fact up a small slope right opposite The shop Trespass and the parking was at the back door access to the cottage, so it was very easy. The cottage was lovely with everything needed for your stay the kitchen was fully equipped. Betws y coed was a fantastic base to see all round North Wales. A Tip Book lunch at Castell Deudraeth and you get a free voucher to get into Portmeirion. North Wales is absolutely beautiful loved it and everyone was friendly and kind.

Perfect base for the mountains. Convenient off-road parking. Attractive, cosy cottage. Well-equipped kitchen. Excellent wifi and central heating. Comfortable beds. Minor faults - sound system not working properly; outside could do with tidying up, especially to rear. Really enjoyed staying and hope to return.

Lovely property, so clean, and nicely furnished.

Very comfortable beds. Recommended for the easy stroll to a wide variety of places to eat. A nice feeling of isolation even with a 'main' road close to the property. I'd like to return given the opportunity. So happy with the week away in this lovely property

Perfect in town location and quiet due to the cottage being located up a hill in back of stores.

Cottage parking is in back of the old stone church (also up a bit of a hill) just past St. Mary's church and the Royal Oak Hotel. The lane to get up to parking and the cottage is directly across from a store called Alpkit (post code LL24 0BW) if you can't see the Alpkit store sign look for the Tresspass store sign.

Once we found the property.

.. very impressed with amenities and comfort. Great location for mountains and coast. Trains to Llandudno very cheap and takes less than hour. Will use again.

Very nice shower and plenty of helpful equipment in the kitchen eg.

dishwasher and dryer. Good location also. Would have preferred a more comfortable settee ie. more squishy although that’s my personal preference. Hard to relax on and too slippy.

Cottage is fully equipped with comfy bedding and soft towels.

Betsy-y-coed is a lovely village with lots of nice restaurants and walks and very easy access to get around NorthWales. We had a lovely holiday. A little tricky to find……drive to the very top of the narrow, steep drive!
