“The apartments location made it great for day trips to the surrounding beaches and coves along with immediate access to the beach across the road.”

The private parking was really useful (large enough for an estate and small car) but was always plenty of on street parking immediately outside. Stayed at the property as a family of 4 and 2 grandparents and the bedrooms and 3 toliets/bathrooms made it much easier for everyone to get ready. The apartment was very clean with plenty of pillows and towels provided and was very quite on the evening and overnight. The kitchen was well equipped with pans, plates, glasses and cutlery. “We had a fabulous stay at Bay View apartment.”

It was wonderful to wake up to the beautiful view from the balcony. The apartment is characterful and had all the furniture and equipment we needed for a comfortable stay. It was great to be able to just walk out to the beach everyday and the two showers were very welcome after enjoying the beach. The lounge/diner is lovely and spacious for relaxing, eating and playing games. The wifi worked perfectly for us (great with teens) and we all had a great time, with the added bonus of being able to pop downstairs for breakfast, ice cream and coffee! thank you.

“A bright, clean, well equipped and comfortable apartment in a great location.”

Superb views from the open plan kitchen/dining/living room on the first floor. Be aware that the stairs are a little steep and could be tricky for anyone with mobility issues, although our 87 year old mother managed just fine. Overall, we loved it here.

“Firstly the views are magnificent, we spent many happy hours just sat in the bay windows watching the world go by.”

The bay is so quiet and peaceful, everyone was so friendly and that went for the whole area including Porthmadog itself which has an array of cafes, pubs, restuarants and shops. and is 2 minutes away by car. The apartment was clean and well furnished with comfortable beds and totally adjustable central heating which my partner loved. A few small things to mention just for information. The TV does tend to lose reception quite a lot, no doubt due to the absolutely beautiful mountain scenery so the Fire Stick was a god send and luckily we already had subscriptions to Netflix and Disney so plenty to watch. If you are a fan of takeaways be aware that Just Eat, Uber Eats or Deliveroo won't deliver to the bay so its make your own food or sample one of the many lovely eateries in the area including the delightful one right under the apartment. For people with limited mobility, there is a downstairs bedroom but the main living area is up a flight of stairs but this wasn't a huge issue for my partner who uses a stick, your mileage may vary however. On a final note Fiona the owner of the apartment was very friendly and welcoming and kept in touch via email to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall VERY highly recommended, we will be booking again for next year and can't wait to return.

“All good, although we are not big TV viewers the TV reception was very poor, depending on weather it was unwatchable at times.”

The Fire stick was not working and the internet channels not obtainable.

I am glad you enjoyed your holiday. The internet is super fast full fibre. In regard to the fire stick we provide this for our customers so they can log in to their subscriptions such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Paramount Plus etc. The fire stick will not work unless you have a subscription. “Bay View is a beautiful apartment with everything you need to have a wonderful holiday.”

The living space is full of light thanks to the high ceilings and large windows. The sofas are wonderfully comfortable for an evening in spent watching the large screen Smart TV or for playing games ( Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit thoughtfully provided). The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for cooking as much or as little as you like, it would have been nice to have a slightly bigger ice box but the space is limited and a larger fridge freezer wouldn't be right in the area so it really is a very minor thing. The beds are beautifully comfortable and the rooms have ample storage space. Bathrooms are both equipped with showers if you don't fancy a soak at the end of a busy day. But the highlight of the place has to be the ever changing view from the windows...watching the tides come in and out,the clouds racing,the aircraft on low training exercises and the people coming and going is unforgettable. And when the day trippers leave,at the end of the day it is so quiet and peaceful. Only two minor points, a fan in the living area would be nice as it can get a bit warm in the beautiful sunshine and occasionally the TV signal tends to drop but these really are NOT that big a deal compared to what this lovely place has to offer. And the icing on the cake is downstairs,fabulous food,and the loveliest staff you could wish for !

Really appreciated flowers and treats on arrival. The TV has freeview only, no streaming services, and the front room might benefit from some fans in this hot weather(but where doesn’t?!) but the views are amazing and Borth-y-gest is a lovely village with nice local walks and a pretty beach. “Our second visit to Bay View, and once again we give the whole experience 10/10.”

The property itself is delightful: well-equipped, thoughtfully furnished and in an unbeatable location. Dog friendly and located in dog-heaven. Fiona is a supportive host: when we arrived there were a few electrical issues, she had the electrician onto them within minutes and all sorted asap. A question about recycling was similarly dealt with: speedy and satisfactory. The cafe downstairs is a bonus, (fabulous breakfasts) but impinges on the apartment not at all: no noise, no cooking smells. This place is a gem. I hope we will visit again.

“A lovely property with the best views and in an excellent location, within easy walking distance to explore Borth y Gest, its lovely beaches, Porthmadog and the surrounding areas.”

The property has everything you need for a really comfortable stay. Fiona, the host, was very attentive and responded very quickly when we had any questions. The property is above a lovely cafe which does great food, and although it didn’t bother us, it’s worth being aware that you can sometimes hear people chatting and background music. Will definitely start again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

“What a lovely place to spend a weeks holiday.”

C;ean,tidy and well equipped. so nice to drink your morning coffee sitting in the bay window and looking at the wonderful view of the bay. Only one small thing, in all cottages we have stayed in (we have stayed in a lot) there has been a welcome pack it would be nice to have some milk in the fridge so you can make a cup of tea after a long journey. We really enjoyed our stay in bay view and if ever in the area again would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you

“The new settees and chairs give you that lovely feeling whilst sitting looking out across Borth y Gues beach, a stones throw away from the apartment.”

Any issues you have are quickly dealt with by the owner so as to not disturb your visitor. Gone are the parking issues by the new parking arrangements, so you can go out and come back to a place to park. Third visit and it gets better each time. Looking forward to next years visit and hoping the Red Arrows are around again so can watch them flying over. The cafe below provides some fabulous food to try so you don’t have to do too much.

It was really well equipped with plenty of glasses and crockery not the usual 6 of everything which was refreshing. Although it was above the cafe there was no noise which was a concern when booking. It was definitely better than the pictures on the website showed. We will definitely be back.

20minute walk into Porthmadog which is home to the famous Ffestiniog Steam Railway, about 30mins drive to snowdon, all in all a very convenient and very comfortable place to stay to explore Snowdonia. Fiona welcomed us with lots of cake which was much appreciated and was always at the end of the phone if we needed her. I would definitely recommend a stay in Bay View Apartment you will not be disappointed. Diane

“We all had a lovely stay at Bay View Apartment.”

The location of the Apartment could not have been improved on, as is as close to the sea as it can be and has the most enchanting view over the Bay. The large windows of the open plan living space frame the magnificent sea within the bay and the majestic mountains beyond it. The extraordinary scenery changes on hourly based and depending on the amount of sunshine changes colours as well. No wonder that Borth-y-Gest is considered Porthmadog’s beauty spot. The Apartment is large, comfortable in every sense. The interior is furnished well and aesthetically pleasing. It offers plenty of space for all, children and adults alike. The kitchen is very well equipped if one wishes to prepare even most elaborate of meals. We loved the bathrooms that were spacious and showers with excellent pressure and lovely hot water. The linen and towels were lovely and had a scent of fresh air. The beds were comfortable ensuring good night rest. Our lovely Hostess Fiona welcomed us on our arrival and guided us to our parking area. She also kindly gifted us with some lovely local cookies, chocolate and bottles of milk for much needed cup of tea after our journey. We had a lovely weather through out of our stay and even the temporary showers were enjoyed indoors looking at the outstanding scenery all around us. The coast in Borth-y-Gest is beautiful and lends itself for walks and number of small beaches are perfect for making sand castles and flying kites. The big Plus of staying in the Apartment is its proximity to the Restaurant that is situated on the ground floor with tasty dishes that are on offer there and Cafe/Bistro next door that offers wide range of meals, lovely coffee and delicious ice cream. Both venues are well known in the area for tasty food and always in demand. Porthmadog 20 min walk away offeres a wide range of shops and supermarkets, few charity shops and couple of antique shops with interesting objects. Our memories of our stay in the Apartment and our visit to Borth-y-Gest will always be full of beauty and comfort. We are very happy to recommend this apartment in this location for all who seek rest from hustle and bustle of busy life and seek to restore harmony to mind&body and spirit.

“This property served us extremely well - 4 adults and a 3-year old.”

It was spacious and comfortable. The location was superb, overlooking the bay. It was within easy walking of numerous small coves and beaches which were mostly sandy - great for the 3-year old. The apartment was also within a 15-20 minute mostly level walk of Porthmadog, so the car mostly remained parked up! There were also lovely woodland walks behind the apartment which provided a nice alternative to the coast. The apartment is dog-friendly. The owner was extremely obliging and able to help with any problems as she lived close by. All round we had a super holiday and would have no doubt in recommending it to family and friends. We look forward to returning.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Perfectly placed for discovering all that North Wales has to offer. Porthmadog is a short stroll away. The bistro on the ground floor was an added bonus with good food and very friendly staff. We will be visiting again.

Clean, comfortable, very well equipped, and the location looking out over Borth-y-Gest harbour is just fabulous! Sitting in a rocking chair looking out at the wonderful view and seeing the tide come slowly in - idyllic. Lots of walks nearby, the shops of Porthmadog just over the hill and all the joys of Snowdonia within easy driving distance. And an outstandingly good café just downstairs. Wow. One tiny niggle: in these days of total recycling and waste management the property really does need a full size food waste bin.The little counter-top one isn’t enough for a whole week’s potato peel and banana skins!

“Great apartment in a fab location with amazing views.”

The best feature of the apartment is definitely the views over the tidal estuary - whatever the weather or time of day the view was stunning. Away from the windows the apartment is well equipped and comfortable with ample space for our family of four plus dog. The friendly owner lives nearby and we were made to feel very welcome. Lots to do straight from the front door with beautiful beaches, walks and the downstairs cafe/take-away. More stunning beaches are a short drive away and the mountains and walks of Snowdonia are easily accessible by car. We had a brilliant two weeks and would recommend the apartment and the area.

Nestled on the coast of the seaside village of Borth-y-Gest, is this delightful apartment, boasting incredible views across the bay.

The interior has a wonderful light painted decor, with large windows offering an abundance of natural light, with lovely period features such as the A-framed beams, which give the rooms a warm and welcoming feeling throughout.

The ground floor has a convenient cloakroom adjourning the double bedroom with feature fireplace, ideal for those with limited mobility, whilst the first floor offers a twin bedroom and a further super king-size bed.

The master bedroom benefits from an en-suite bathroom comprising of toilet, basin and bath with shower over.

There is a family bathroom, with an elegant bath and shower over, so you can enjoy a relaxing soak after a tiring day to wash away those aches and pains.

The first floor houses the open-plan living space, with a large sitting area along a large bay window.

Curl up on the provided seating and let the gas fire keep you warm during those chillier evenings.

The kitchen has been fitted to a high-standard, with quality appliances so you can easily rustle up a delicious home-cooked meal for the whole family, to be enjoyed at the spacious dining area overlooking the bay with a well-deserved glass of wine.

Situated across the road from the property is a delightful licensed café/bistro, where you can take a stroll towards and enjoy a spot of lunch of an afternoon.

You can also enjoy a super breakfast, lunches, cakes and cream tea.

Being situated right on the front of the bay, you can spend the days strolling on the beach, or walking around to two other spectaluar beaches where you may decide to take a dip.

The thriving harbour town of Porthmadog is a mile away, and boasts a plethora of tourist attractions, including the magnificent Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways, perfect for exploring the delight of the Snowdonia National Park countryside.

Nearby are Zip World, Bounce Below and a little further is Snowdonia.

The nearby river of Afon Glaslyn provides the perfect opportunity for some water sports, get involved with fishing or simply sailing and delight in the coastal views.
