    “We arrived at the property with the details provided.”

    It appeared just as shown in the listing photo’s & description, in a lovely location on Borth-y-gest harbor front. During our stay we walked the costal path & explored nearby towns including the beautiful Portmeirion. A huge problem we encountered was the occupancy of the holiday apartment above. We had 3 sets of different guests on the 3 nights we stayed. Unfortunately 2 of our nights were very disturbed by the volume of noise that carries between the apartments. Loud banging, loud ...

    It appeared just as shown in the listing photo’s & description, in a lovely location on Borth-y-gest harbor front. During our stay we walked the costal path & explored nearby towns including the beautiful Portmeirion. A huge problem we encountered was the occupancy of the holiday apartment above. We had 3 sets of different guests on the 3 nights we stayed. Unfortunately 2 of our nights were very disturbed by the volume of noise that carries between the apartments. Loud banging, loud running water & pipes, moving furniture, constant barking dogs, we could hear conversations so clearly we knew the second guests had Birmingham accents. The noise levels were as if we were in the same apartment as them! The double bedroom suffers mainly from the loud level noise disturbance and we were kept awake at night then woken incredibly early on 2 days when the upstairs occupants got up, this spoiled and impacted our stay negatively. The issue was raised with the owner so we could try to find a resolve but no help was offered. The third set of guests above were no where near as noisy. I can see there is some great reviews for this property but it honestly is a lottery as to who you will have above, for this reason we would not book again I can recommend the area & suggest if you are at this property you book the upstairs apartment or take ear plugs to get some sleep! The double bed was uncomfortable for us and we found the tv had muffled sound. But no issues with the other amenities in the apartment.

Gweldon Apartments is a delightful pairing of apartments resting in the coastal village of Borth-y-Gest, near Porthmadog, Gwynedd. Sleeping a total of nine guests, and with a close by beach and ample amenities, these apartments are well thought out for accommodating friends, families, and couples alike.
