The tiny village of Gwaenysgor sits on the side of a hill in the quiet North Wales countryside, within the Clwydian Hill Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is just a quarter of a mile to the top, from where a wonderful panoramic view over the countryside and coast can be enjoyed. The village itself has a very good pub and is ideally placed for joining the Offa's Dyke National Trail which lies within a few minutes walk. The sandy beaches at Prestatyn provide safe bathing, a variety of watersports and lovely walks, whilst four golf courses and a leisure centre are within easy reach. Along the coast are the fabulous Mountain Zoo at Colwyn Bay and the Victorian resort of Llandudno with its lovely promenade. Within easy reach are the scenic lakes of Brenig and Alwen, a variety of castles and gardens and the spectacular scenery of Snowdonia, the Llyn Peninsula and the Isle of Anglesey.
