“Massively overpriced.”
So little care had been taken with the property to equip it properly and keep the internal furnishings in keeping with the beautiful, majestic building. The main living spaces; the living room & kitchen in particular were awful. At £600 per night for our stay, it was ludicrous. We had expected too to be able to go to the top of the tower to enjoy the views. Not happy at all.
In detail, there was hardly any crockery, not enough mugs or cups. A cheap kettle that burned you with each and every use, spewing boiling water all over you.
The upper bathroom was beautiful, in keeping with the property and the bedrooms were pleasant. I would have been happy to pay half of what we paid, around £300 per night, but any more was shocking.
My daughters were so unset not to be able to stargaze from the roof. At that price, not a lot to ask.. Overall, exceptionally disappointing and left feeling swindled. But, the towers itself could be utterly magical if care was taken to make it so..,
