“A lovely stay in a perfect location.”

Having stayed in many other cottages in the area there are a few things that could be improved to bring Llys Elen up to the same standard. The main tv room desperately needs a rug. The tiled floor is beautiful but very cold underfoot. A bag of logs and fire lighters were left for the fire but there was no kindling. Fire-lighters alone would have made it hard to get the fire going ( so we didn’t try ) All the lights on the washing machine kept flashing. We had to switch the power off to ...

We had to switch the power off to make it stop and open the door - it may need looking at. Also a washing basket to carry wet washing out to the line would be useful. A proper pan scourer/ brush is needed for cleaning cooking pans. I was surprised there was not soap in every bathroom and extra toilet rolls have always been provided in other cottages. A hair dryer would also be nice Having said all this we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was warm and cosy, plenty of hot water, a well equipped kitchen a gorgeous garden, superb location that we would be happy to return to ( but only if there was a rug on the tiled floor!! )

We have had the washing machine checked and it is working perfectly. Full instructions are found in the appliance folder provided. We are sorry to hear that you were lacking kindling for the wood burner, a pan-scourer and that one of the bathrooms lacked soap in the dispenser. This will be raised with the cleaning team. After 2 years of letting no one has raised the lack of a rug on the tiled floor as an issue. A rug is not provided as this could constitute a trip hazard. Also as an area with outstanding hiking we have tried to cater for boots and wet weather clothing. The front lounge is fully carpeted. Property Owner
