“Overall, the cottage was spacious, light, and clean.”

The garden was mostly slate chippings with a small lawn. Both the uncurtained kitchen and the small seating area at the back of the cottage directly overlooked the cottage next door. Some small tweaks would have improved the cottage - such as a non-slip mat in the bath, hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang towels. The kitchen needed bigger cooking pots and small cutting knives (we ended up dicing onions with a bread knife ! We asked the owner for a small cutting knife for fruit, which ...

We asked the owner for a small cutting knife for fruit, which they agreed to supply, but didn't). The worst was that the Wifi didn't work the whole time we were there. Despite numerous phone calls to the owner, a Vodaphone technician arrived less than an hour before we left, and stated that he couldn't fix it. The location is nice, and the cottage is good, but having no Wifi, especially for our daughter and grandkids, spoilt it for us.
