“A honest review - This was a large, cosy (warm) and very clean chalet style house with lots of storage and extras (amazing if you had babies small children - cots etc) and lovely comfortable beds.”

Yes it’s not the most modern and probably could do with a refurb but it was close to the best beaches (Rhosneigr and Newborough), had a big shared drive that the dogs could run around in, it was quiet at night, and the reason we went away was to avoid fireworks for our dogs (which we didn’t hear any) owners had left a bottle of Prosecco and milk very kind and really appreciated. A lovely open fire which we used on last night (everything supplied left in porch). I cooked a full Sunday ...

I cooked a full Sunday dinner on New Years Day, the fridge could probably be larger for a bigger family but all in all a lovely relaxing stay on New Years.

“We had an absolutely wonderful time at Llain Delyn.”

The house was beautiful and we had lovely little gifts left for us which made it extra special. The garden was perfect for the dogs to get rid of excess energy. The country lanes were great for our morning walks and the scenery is stunning. The house was lovely and warm. A lovely large kitchen and fantastic views across the countryside from the dining area. I felt very relaxed and happy whilst staying there. The ideal place to find peace and pause in our busy lives.

“Overall we loved the property perfect accommodation for us and our dogs.”

Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The bedrooms were lovely and warm and as the weather was cold we lit a fire in the living room that enhanced the evening atmosphere. On our arrival we were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco and some milk, both very much appreciated. The owners thoughtfully left us some notes including dog friendly local beaches, which were invaluable. We had a fantastic holiday, thank you.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Llain Delyn, a beautifully spacious 5-bedroom cottage with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.”

The property offered plenty of room for our group to relax and unwind, with comfortable furnishings, good facilities, and the added bonus of Sky TV. It is a welcoming home that is both practical and well-equipped, making it ideal for families or groups, also very pet friendly. The location is another highlight, as the cottage is conveniently close to a number of scenic places to visit, perfect for days out exploring the local area before returning to the comfort of the property. The peaceful setting also makes it an excellent choice for those simply wishing to enjoy the views and tranquility. The only minor issues we encountered was the shower, which had lower water pressure and could be a little quirky at times. It was very hot weather during our stay and very little air circulates so bedrooms were hot a tower fan was provided but would benefit from a second. However, this was a small point in what was otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Overall, Llain Delyn is a charming and spacious retreat in a beautiful location, and we would happily recommend it to others looking for a comfortable base with easy access to the area’s scenic attractions.

“This is a large property.”

The beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped but I'm afraid that's where the praise ends. The smell in the porch was over whelming so much so that I had to shampoo most of it. The whole place needs a deep clean. The bathroom floors at the back of the toilet were disgusting. I took photos. The carpet in the master bedroom is so dirty that your feet stick to it. We were also expected to put the bins out?? There is an extension lead in the lounge which isn't safe for young children as their books and games are housed on shelves next to it. Note: there isn't a games room as advertised. They have clearly decorated the walls but some is still left on the skirting board and cornice. Your advert also states that there is a sofa bed in the master bedroom- there isn't. Your advert also states there is a large dog bed and towels-, there isn't any. The curtains in the master bedroom don't even close so privacy issues are raised as it faces large properties. The storage heaters were full on and couldn't be turned off so the heat was unbearable. I imagine that your company has not viewed the property. For instance, to turn the en-suite shower on you have to follow ridiculous instructions. First turn on the heater in the kitchen? Then turn the basin tap on, then turn the shower on then turn the basin tap off???? To turn the shower off to have to do the instructions in reverse. I can understand why this property hasn't any reviews yet. This property is new to the market. It should have been pristine. Just because dogs are allowed shouldn't mean it doesn't have to be clean. Sorry we won't be returning. Massive potential missed.

About the location

MALLTRAETH

Newborough 2 miles; Rhosneigr 8 miles.

The small village of Malltraeth lies in the south west corner of Anglesey, at the head of the long inlet formed by the Cefni Estuary and close to the popular Newborough Forest and Warren sand dunes. Malltraeth Pool and the magnificent sweep of marshes and sand dunes, which stretch south to Llanddwyn Island, are all part of a National Nature Reserve. The whole area is renowned for its birdlife and Malltraeth was once home to the famous wildlife artist Charles F Tunnicliffe. There are wonderful forest and coastal walks from the village, which has a pub, a cafe serving afternoon tea and a chip shop (also selling basic items/newspapers etc). Close by are beautiful beaches at Llanddwyn (reputedly the 4th best in Britain), Aberffraw, and Cable Bay, or head to Rhosneigr, which is renowned for its all year round watersports facilities.
