Inside, Merddwr retains its heritage with exposed stone walls, timber beams, and vaulted ceilings, balanced by elegant, modern furnishings.

The property is thoughtfully divided into two areas, offering plenty of space to host unforgettable gatherings.

The open-plan living area is a warm and welcoming hub, featuring a woodburning stove, plush seating, and a Smart TV for evenings in.

The kitchen is a chef’s dream, equipped with modern appliances, a central island for socialising, and a dining table large enough for memorable group meals set against the backdrop of the rolling views from afar.

A second modern kitchen enhances convenience, complemented by two well-equipped utility rooms with washing machines to accommodate larger groups or extended stays.

Merddwr cottages is located between three UNESCO sites of heritage (Slate quarries, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Conwy Castle).

The nearest village of Cerrigydrudion (also known as Cerrig-y-Drudion) is to be found on the high moorlands in the county of Conwy in North Wales. Why not visit the community owned pub, or village shop or enjoy home cooked meals at the Fisheries or Country cooks. Perfectly situated between the lakeside town of Bala and charming Betws-y-Coed, which is known as the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. Boasting the Brenig and Alwen lakes within a few miles, this peaceful village offers superb walking, cycling and wildlife watching opportunities amidst the surrounding countryside. The popular tourist towns of Betws-y-Coed and Bala are both within easy driving distance offering a range of interesting shops, inns and restaurants, along with a host of outdoor activities, including rafting and cycling to name just two.
